Média · 6.7
CWE-122 27/05/2026
pam_usb: Unchecked integer multiplication before xmalloc() in conf.c allows heap-based buffer overflow on 32-bit targets
pam_usb provides hardware authentication for Linux using ordinary removable media. Prior to 0.9.1, src/conf.c allocates heap memory proportional to n_devices, a count derived from libxml2 XPath evaluation of the config file, without first enforcing an upper bound. On 32-bit targets (armv7l, i686 -- both listed in the project Makefile), the multiplication n_devices * sizeof(t_pusb_device) wraps around size_t, causing xmalloc() to receive a very small size. Because xmalloc() only calls abort() on NULL return, a small-but-non-NULL allocation is accepted, and subsequent array writes overflow the heap. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.9.1.

An issue in fetch_jpg() in xdrv_10_scripter.ino in Tasmota through 15.3.0.3 allows a remote attacker to cause heap buffer overflow. The Content-Length from a JPEG stream is stored in a uint16_t variable; values above 65535 wrap around, causing allocation of a smaller buffer than the data actually read.

Alta · 7.3
CWE-122 26/05/2026
smallbitvec: Safe API Triggered Heap Buffer Overflow via Integer Overflow
smallbitvec is a growable bit-vector for Rust, optimized for size. From 1.0.1 to 2.6.0, an integer overflow in the internal capacity calculation of smallbitvec can lead to an undersized heap allocation, resulting in a heap buffer overflow through safe APIs only. This allows memory corruption without requiring unsafe code from the caller. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.6.1.

Alta · 7.1
CWE-122 26/05/2026
Heap-based Buffer Overflow em Pavel-odintsov Fastnetmon
FastNetMon Community Edition through 1.2.9 contains an integer overflow vulnerability in the packet capture buffer allocation. In src/packet_storage.hpp, the allocate_buffer() function computes memory_size_in_bytes as 'buffer_size_in_packets * (max_captured_packet_size + sizeof(fastnetmon_pcap_pkthdr_t)) + sizeof(fastnetmon_pcap_file_header_t)' using unsigned int (32-bit) arithmetic. With max_captured_packet_size=1500 and sizeof(fastnetmon_pcap_pkthdr_t)=16, each packet requires approximately 1516 bytes. If buffer_size_in_packets exceeds approximately 2,832,542, the multiplication overflows, resulting in a much smaller allocation than expected. Subsequent write_packet() calls then write past the allocated buffer, causing heap corruption. The buffer_size_in_packets value is derived from the ban_details_records_count configuration parameter, which is parsed using atoi() with no overflow checking.

CWE-122 26/05/2026
FreeRDP - Heap-buffer-overflow in gdi_CacheToSurface via rectangle validation bypass
FreeRDP before 3.26.0 contains a heap-buffer-overflow vulnerability in gdi_CacheToSurface that allows remote attackers to write out-of-bounds heap memory. The vulnerability occurs because rectangle validation clamps coordinates to UINT16_MAX but performs copy operations using unclamped cache entry dimensions, enabling malicious RDP servers to trigger large out-of-bounds writes and potentially achieve remote code execution or client crash.

Heap-based Buffer Overflow em Hitachi Energy MACH HiDraw
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in XML
parser functionality in the HiDraw. An authenticated
malicious user with local access can exploit this
vulnerability using a specially crafted XML file which may
lead to memory corruption and potential arbitrary code
execution. Successful exploitation could result in
application crashes (denial of service) and compromise the
confidentiality and integrity of the affected system.

CWE-122 26/05/2026
VPND IKE Fragment Reassembly - Heap Out-of-Bounds Write via Sequence Number Zero
The VPN service may mishandle an unexpected IKE fragment value received on the IKE port 500/UDP during the early stage of a connection attempt. This can cause the service to terminate unexpectedly, resulting in denial of service (temporary disruption of VPN-related functionality).

CWE-122 26/05/2026
Heap-based Buffer Overflow em Mediaarea Mediainfolib
A heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the ID3v2 parsing functionality of MediaInfoLib (version(s): 26.01). A specially crafted media file that contains ID3v2 tags can lead to arbitrary code execution. An attacker can provide a malicious file to trigger this vulnerability.
CVE-2026-9256
Alta · 8.1
CWE-122 22/05/2026
NGINX ngx_http_rewrite_module vulnerability
NGINX Plus and NGINX Open Source have a vulnerability in the ngx_http_rewrite_module module. This vulnerability exists when a rewrite directive uses a regex pattern with distinct, overlapping Perl-Compatible Regular Expression (PCRE) captures (for example, ^/((.*))$) and a replacement string that references multiple such captures (for example, $1$2) in a redirect or arguments context. An unauthenticated attacker along with conditions beyond their control can exploit this vulnerability by sending crafted HTTP requests. This may cause a heap buffer overflow in the NGINX worker process leading to a restart. Additionally, attackers can execute code on systems with Address Space Layout Randomization (ASLR) disabled or when the attacker can bypass ASLR.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.
CVE-2026-8997
Média · 4.8
CWE-122 22/05/2026
Heap Buffer Overflow in vifm
vifm is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow during the history merge process when saving the state file (vifminfo.json). This flaw occurs because the application lacks a runtime check on the length of history entries in release builds, potentially allowing a crafted long path or command in the history to cause memory corruption or application crashes.
Releases from 0.12.1 to 0.14.3 (including) are considered vulnerable. This issue was fixed in commit 23063c7
CVE-2026-45252
Média · 5.5
CWE-122 21/05/2026
Heap overflow in FUSE_LISTXATTR
When a fusefs file system implements extended attributes, the kernel may send a FUSE_LISTXATTR message to the userspace daemon to retrieve the list of extended attributes for a given file. The FUSE protocol requires the daemon to return a packed list of NUL-terminated strings. The fusefs kernel module calls strlen() on this daemon-supplied buffer without first verifying that the entire list is NUL-terminated.
If a malicious daemon sends a non-NUL-terminated list, the fusefs kernel module may read beyond the end of one heap-allocated buffer and potentially write beyond the end of a second buffer. A malicious daemon could disclose up to 253 bytes of kernel heap memory, or it could inject up to 250 attacker-controlled bytes into unallocated kernel heap space.

Média · 6.5
CWE-122 20/05/2026
Libsolv: heap buffer overflow in libsolv repo_add_solv via negative maxsize from crafted .solv file
A flaw was found in libsolv. This heap buffer overflow vulnerability occurs when a victim processes a specially crafted `.solv` file containing negative size values in the `repo_add_solv` function. This leads to an undersized memory allocation and a subsequent out-of-bounds write. An attacker could exploit this to cause a denial of service (DoS).
