CWE-22 03/10/2026
MPG < 4.2.3 - Editor+ Arbitrary File Read via Project Import
The MPG WordPress plugin before 4.2.3 does not validate that the dataset source supplied when importing a project is a remote URL before treating it as a local filesystem path and copying that file into a publicly accessible uploads folder. This makes it possible for users with the Editor role and above to read the contents of arbitrary files on the server, with the copied file then retrievable by unauthenticated visitors.

Formwork before 2.3.13 Path Traversal via BackupController Download and Delete
Formwork before 2.3.13 contains a path traversal vulnerability in BackupController that allows authenticated panel users to read or delete arbitrary files. Attackers with backup download or delete permission can supply a base64-encoded backslash-separated traversal payload that bypasses PHP basename on Linux to access files outside the backup directory.

Angular SSR: Path Traversal to Sibling Directories in CommonEngine on Windows
The Angular SSR is a server-rise rendering tool for Angular applications. Prior to versions 20.3.36, 21.2.23, and 22.1.7, the CommonEngine retrieveSSGPage prerendered-page retrieval logic in @angular/ssr/node, and in @angular/ssr for versions 17 through 18, accepts a relative request URL containing a backslash parent-traversal segment on Windows. The non-special resolve:// URL base preserves the backslash, path.join interprets it as a Windows separator, and the pagePath.startsWith(normalize(publicPath)) check incorrectly accepts a sibling output directory whose name shares the configured public-directory prefix. An unauthenticated requester can therefore retrieve a sibling prerendered HTML page when that page contains the Angular SSG marker. The issue is limited to Windows deployments that pass relative request URLs to CommonEngine.render, have a prefix-sharing sibling output directory, and contain qualifying prerendered Angular HTML; it does not provide arbitrary file read. This issue is fixed in versions 20.3.36, 21.2.23, and 22.1.7.

CodeArt Google MP3 Audio Player 1.0.11 Arbitrary File Read via direct_download.php
CodeArt Google MP3 Audio Player plugin (google-mp3-audio-player) for WordPress through 1.0.11 contains an unauthenticated arbitrary file read vulnerability that allows remote attackers to retrieve sensitive files by supplying a path-traversal payload in the file parameter of direct_download.php. Attackers can request paths ../../wp-config.php without authentication to download configuration files containing database credentials and secret keys, leading to full site compromise. Exploitation evidence was first observed by the Shadowserver Foundation on 2023-10-19.

CWE-22 02/10/2026
Nx: Path traversal in nx migrate package-migrations extraction
Nx is a monorepo solution for TypeScript and polyglot codebases. From 13.10.0 until 22.7.10 and 23.2.1, Nx migration planning reads the nx-migrations.migrations value from a target package manifest without validating that it is a contained relative path. A hostile direct dependency or a package introduced through a trusted package's packageGroup can supply .. segments or an absolute path, causing nx migrate to join an escaping destination onto its temporary directory. The migration archive can then write attacker-controlled bytes outside the temporary directory, while opening the destination stream can truncate an existing writable file even when no archive entry matches. This occurs during migration planning before review of the migration list or use of --run-migrations; the vulnerable installed Nx copy is reached when the normal nx@latest handoff is bypassed with NX_USE_LOCAL, NX_MIGRATE_USE_LOCAL, NX_MIGRATE_CLI_VERSION, --run-id, or fallback after a temporary-install failure. This issue is fixed in versions 22.7.10 and 23.2.1.

uv: Path traversal on Windows through wheel extraction
uv is a Python package and project manager written in Rust. From 0.12.7 until 0.12.18, uv wheel extraction on Windows can process a malicious wheel in a way that writes a file outside the installation prefix, including an executable in a directory already present on the user's PATH. Non-Windows hosts are not affected. This issue is fixed in version 0.12.18.

Logback: Incomplete protection against CVE-2026-19880
Path-traversal vulnerability in QOS.CH Sarl Logback-classic on Java (logback-classic module) allows path-traversal vulnerability. More specifically, an
MDC-based discriminator value flows unsanitized into a nested
FileAppender path, letting an attacker who influences that MDC value
(e.g. via an HTTP header)
create and append log files outside the intended directory.
This issue affects Logback-classic: from 0.9.14 through 1.6.4. This vulnerability is similar to CVE-2026-19880 but involves other attack techniques.

Office-PowerPoint-MCP-Server through 2.0.7 Path Traversal via save_presentation and manage_image
Office-PowerPoint-MCP-Server through 2.0.7 contains a path traversal vulnerability that allows MCP callers to write and read files outside the working directory by supplying absolute paths or ../ sequences. Attackers can steer an AI agent via prompt injection to abuse save_presentation, open_presentation, or manage_image output_path to overwrite any server-writable file or load external files.

langflow-ai langflow v1.8.4 is affected by: Directory Traversal. The impact is: Arbitrary file write outside the intended workspace or storage boundary.. The component is: src/backend/base/langflow/api/v1/knowledge_bases.py:knowledge_bases-create_knowledge_base-a-live-http-post-to-create-knowledge-base. The attack vector is: Attack surface: HTTP or browser-backed service path. A public-facing upload or HTTP route handler forwards an attacker-controlled path or filename into host file creation without any visible boundary enforcement. ¶¶ A weakness has been identified in langflow-ai langflow up to 1.8.4. langflow contains an absolute path traversal vulnerability in knowledge_bases-create_knowledge_base-a-live-http-post-to-create-knowledge-base (src/backend/base/langflow/api/v1/knowledge_bases.py:51). GetSimple CMS: Authenticated Stored Local File Inclusion (LFI) via page "template" field
GetSimple CMS is a content management system (CMS), and GetSimple CMS CE is the community edition of that CMS. In versions 3.3.22 and prior, an authenticated user with page-editing rights can store an arbitrary filesystem path in a page's template attribute. On the public front-end, this value is passed unsanitized to a PHP include() when the page is rendered. Because the include path is never confined, this allows directory-traversal Local File Inclusion: arbitrary local files are included (and, if they contain PHP, executed) when any visitor requests the page. At time of publication, there are no publicly available patches.

Vvveb: Path traversal in Vvveb via sanitizeFileName() bypass enables arbitrary file read and delete through backup tools
Vvveb is a powerful and easy to use CMS with page builder to build websites, blogs or ecommerce stores. Prior to version 1.0.8.6, a flawed central path sanitizer lets an authenticated admin-panel user who holds backup access (default role site_admin or higher) read and delete arbitrary files on a server. An attacker can recover database credentials from config/db.php, read host files such as /etc/passwd, and delete config/db.php to push a site back into install mode for a full takeover. This issue has been patched in version 1.0.8.6.
