CVE-2026-46388
Média · 4.4
CWE-279 10/07/2026
osquery: Unprivileged users can temporarily read file carve contents
osquery is a SQL powered operating system instrumentation, monitoring, and analytics framework. Prior to 5.23.1, an unprivileged attacker can read the contents of an osquery file carve until the carve completes and the temporary files are deleted because in-progress carve directories are not created with private permissions. If the carve targets a directory that the attacker controls, arbitrary file reads are possible, such as sensitive local files. This issue is fixed in version 5.23.1.

CWE-279 27/03/2026
Firewalld: firewalld: local unprivileged user can modify firewall state due to d-bus setter mis-authorization
A flaw was found in firewalld. A local unprivileged user can exploit this vulnerability by mis-authorizing two runtime D-Bus (Desktop Bus) setters, setZoneSettings2 and setPolicySettings. This mis-authorization allows the user to modify the runtime firewall state without proper authentication, leading to unauthorized changes in network security configurations.

CWE-279 04/03/2026
A vulnerability in the CLI of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA)…
A vulnerability in the CLI of Cisco Secure Firewall Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software in multiple context mode could allow an authenticated, local attacker with administrative privileges in one context to copy files to or from another context, including configuration files.
This vulnerability is due to improper access controls for Secure Copy Protocol (SCP) operations when the CiscoSSH stack is enabled. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to a non-admin context of the device and issuing crafted SCP copy commands in that non-admin context. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to read, create, or overwrite sensitive files that belong to another context, including the admin and system contexts. The attacker cannot directly impact the availability of services pertaining to other contexts. To exploit this vulnerability, the attacker must have valid administrative credentials for a non-admin context.
Note: An attacker cannot list or enumerate files from another context and would need to know the exact file path, which increases the complexity of a successful attack.

CWE-279 08/01/2026
Ansible-automation-platform/aap-gateway: aap-gateway: read-only personal access token (pat) bypasses write restrictions
A flaw was found in Ansible Automation Platform (AAP). Read-only scoped OAuth2 API Tokens in AAP, are enforced at the Gateway level for Gateway-specific operations. However, this vulnerability allows read-only tokens to perform write operations on backend services (e.g., Controller, Hub, EDA). If this flaw were exploited, an attacker‘s capabilities would only be limited by role based access controls (RBAC).

CWE-279 06/11/2025
containerd affected by a local privilege escalation via wide permissions on CRI directory
containerd is an open-source container runtime. Versions 0.1.0 through 1.7.28, 2.0.0-beta.0 through 2.0.6, 2.1.0-beta.0 through 2.1.4 and 2.2.0-beta.0 through 2.2.0-rc.1 have an overly broad default permission vulnerability. Directory paths `/var/lib/containerd`, `/run/containerd/io.containerd.grpc.v1.cri` and `/run/containerd/io.containerd.sandbox.controller.v1.shim` were all created with incorrect permissions. This issue is fixed in versions 1.7.29, 2.0.7, 2.1.5 and 2.2.0. Workarounds include updating system administrator permissions so the host can manually chmod the directories to not have group or world accessible permissions, or to run containerd in rootless mode.
