Dpdk: dpdk: stack and heap buffer overflow in nfp vdpa driver
A flaw was found in the DPDK nfp vDPA driver. Stack and heap buffers sized for a single queue pair can be overflowed when more virtqueues are configured, leading to a host crash or memory corruption.
CVE-2026-86849 Média · 6.5 CWE-787 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: integer overflow combined with missing validation leads to host buffer overflow in vhost-crypto
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. Integer overflow in chain length checks, and missing length checks on the RSA path, can overflow a host buffer in the vhost-crypto backend.
CVE-2026-86848 Alta · 8.8 CWE-367 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: time-of-check/time-of-use vulnerability allowing guest-triggered out-of-bounds write in vhost-crypto
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. The indirect-descriptor snapshot double-fetches a guest descriptor next index, allowing a malicious guest to cause an out-of-bounds access in the host backend.
CVE-2026-86847 Média · 6.5 CWE-824 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: guest can trigger infinite loop in vhost-crypto writeback chain cleanup
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. Write-back chain cleanup can follow an uninitialized next pointer when mapping a guest descriptor fails, causing the host vhost-crypto process to hang or crash.
CVE-2026-86846 Média · 6.5 CWE-787 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: guest can trigger out-of-bounds write by controlling avail ring index in vhost-crypto
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. A guest can supply an avail-ring descriptor index that is used without bounds checking, causing an out-of-bounds write in the host vhost-crypto backend.
CVE-2026-86845 Média · 6.5 CWE-825 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: guest-triggered use-after-free and type confusion in vhost-crypto session cleanup
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost vhost-crypto. Session cleanup can leave a stale cached session pointer, and the data path does not check the session type before attaching it, leading to use-after-free or type confusion in the host vhost-crypto backend.
CVE-2026-86567 Alta · 8.8 CWE-416 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: vduse handler fails to invalidate vring pointers when iotlb is invalidated, leading to use-after-unmap
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. The VDUSE handler fails to invalidate vring pointers when the IOTLB is invalidated, leading to use-after-unmap.
CVE-2026-86566 Média · 6.5 CWE-191 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: guest with runt rx descriptors underflows copy length in vhost enqueue (split and packed rings)
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A guest with runt RX descriptors can underflow the copy length in vhost enqueue, causing a denial of service in a shared vhost backend such as OVS-DPDK.
CVE-2026-86565 Alta · 8.2 CWE-787 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: guest can desynchronize virtqueue size from inflight descriptor table size, causing out-of-bounds write
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A guest can desynchronize virtqueue size from inflight descriptor table size, causing an out-of-bounds write in the host vhost process.
CVE-2026-86563 Alta · 7.8 CWE-131 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: double offset bug in vhost log mapping calculation
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A double-offset bug in vhost log mapping calculation can lead to incorrect memory access.
CVE-2026-86562 Alta · 7.8 CWE-362 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: control-queue descriptor double-fetch overflows host heap in dpdk vhost (vduse)
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A TOCTOU double-fetch of control-queue descriptors allows a heap buffer overflow with attacker-controlled content in the VDUSE control-queue handler.
CVE-2026-100236 Alta · 8.6 CWE-787 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: heap out-of-bounds read/write in gso header copy
A flaw was found in the DPDK GSO library. When software GSO copies packet headers into a new mbuf, it does not check that the header fits in the source first segment or in the destination buffer, and a header longer than the configured GSO segment size can underflow the payload-size calculation. A remote or guest-supplied packet processed with software GSO can trigger an out-of-bounds read or write.
CVE-2026-93683 Média · 6.4 CWE-367 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: guest-triggered out-of-bounds walk via vhost indirect descriptor length toctou
A flaw was found in the DPDK vhost library. When handling a virtio indirect descriptor table, the host reads the table length more than once from guest memory and can allocate a host copy before validating that length. A guest that changes the length between those reads, or that supplies an out-of-range next index on a small host copy in the vDPA relay path, can cause the host vhost process to walk past the validated mapping or heap copy. That can crash or disrupt the vhost process. Out-of-bounds bytes are consumed as descriptor fields for GPA translation and are not returned to the guest as payload. This is a residual issue in the non-contiguous indirect descriptor copy path introduced as part of the CVE-2018-1059 fix.
CVE-2026-86561 Média · 6.5 CWE-770 14/10/2026
Dpdk: dpdk: missing memory size validation before mmap in vhost memory region setup
A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. Memory size is not adequately validated before mmap during vhost memory-region setup, which can lead to a host crash or memory corruption.
CVE-2026-34956 Média · 5.9 CWE-120 05/05/2026
Openvswitch: open vswitch: denial of service via malformed ftp epasv command
A flaw was found in Open vSwitch. When Open vSwitch is configured with a conntrack flow using FTP helpers over the userspace datapath, a remote attacker can send a specially crafted FTP stream with an EPASV command exceeding 255 characters. This heap access error can lead to a crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS) for the affected system.
CVE-2026-5367 Alta · 8.6 CWE-130 24/04/2026
Ovn: ovn: information disclosure via crafted dhcpv6 packets
A flaw was found in OVN (Open Virtual Network). A remote attacker, by sending crafted DHCPv6 (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol for IPv6) SOLICIT packets with an inflated Client ID length, could cause the ovn-controller to read beyond the bounds of a packet. This out-of-bounds read can lead to the disclosure of sensitive information stored in heap memory, which is then returned to the attacker's virtual machine port.
CVE-2026-5265 Média · 6.5 CWE-130 24/04/2026
Ovn: ovn: heap over-read in icmp error response generation
When generating an ICMP Destination Unreachable or Packet Too Big response, the handler copies a portion of the original packet into the ICMP error body using the IP header's self-declared total length (ip_tot_len for IPv4, ip6_plen for IPv6) without validating it against the actual packet buffer size. A VM can send a short packet with an inflated IP length field that triggers an ICMP error (e.g., by hitting a reject ACL), causing ovn-controller to read heap memory beyond the valid packet data and include it in the ICMP response sent back to the VM.
