CVE-2018-25032 Alta · 7.5 CWE-787 25/03/2022
Nokogiri affected by zlib's Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability
zlib before 1.2.12 allows memory corruption when deflating (i.e., when compressing) if the input has many distant matches.
CVE-2021-3517 Alta · 8.6 CWE-787 19/05/2021
Nokogiri contains libxml Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability
There is a flaw in the xml entity encoding functionality of libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to supply a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with the affected functionality of libxml2 could trigger an out-of-bounds read. The most likely impact of this flaw is to application availability, with some potential impact to confidentiality and integrity if an attacker is able to use memory information to further exploit the application.
CVE-2021-3518 Alta · 8.8 CWE-416 18/05/2021
Nokogiri Implements libxml2 version vulnerable to use-after-free
There's a flaw in libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11. An attacker who is able to submit a crafted file to be processed by an application linked with libxml2 could trigger a use-after-free. The greatest impact from this flaw is to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
CVE-2021-3537 Média · 5.9 CWE-476 14/05/2021
Nokogiri Implements libxml2 version vulnerable to null pointer dereferencing
A vulnerability found in libxml2 in versions before 2.9.11 shows that it did not propagate errors while parsing XML mixed content, causing a NULL dereference. If an untrusted XML document was parsed in recovery mode and post-validated, the flaw could be used to crash the application. The highest threat from this vulnerability is to system availability.
CVE-2020-7595 Alta · 7.5 CWE-835 21/01/2020
libxml as used in Nokogiri has an infinite loop in a certain end-of-file situation
xmlStringLenDecodeEntities in parser.c in libxml2 2.9.10 has an infinite loop in a certain end-of-file situation.
CVE-2018-14404 Média · 6.5 CWE-476 19/07/2018
Nokogiri NULL Pointer Dereference
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in the xpath.c:xmlXPathCompOpEval() function of libxml2 through 2.9.8 when parsing an invalid XPath expression in the XPATH_OP_AND or XPATH_OP_OR case. Applications processing untrusted XSL format inputs with the use of the libxml2 library may be vulnerable to a denial of service attack due to a crash of the application.
CVE-2017-18258 Média · 6.5 CWE-770 08/04/2018
Uncontrolled resource consumption in nokogiri
The xz_head function in xzlib.c in libxml2 before 2.9.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted LZMA file, because the decoder functionality does not restrict memory usage to what is required for a legitimate file.
CVE-2017-16932 Alta · 7.5 CWE-835 23/11/2017
Nokogiri gem, via libxml, is affected by DoS vulnerabilities
parser.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 does not prevent infinite recursion in parameter entities.
CVE-2017-9050 Alta · 7.5 CWE-125 18/05/2017
Out-of-bounds read in nokogiri
libxml2 20904-GITv2.9.4-16-g0741801 is vulnerable to a heap-based buffer over-read in the xmlDictAddString function in dict.c. This vulnerability causes programs that use libxml2, such as PHP, to crash. This vulnerability exists because of an incomplete fix for CVE-2016-1839.
CVE-2016-4658 Crítica · 9.8 CWE-119 25/09/2016
Nokogiri does not forbid namespace nodes in XPointer ranges
xpointer.c in libxml2 before 2.9.5 (as used in Apple iOS before 10, OS X before 10.12, tvOS before 10, and watchOS before 3, and other products) does not forbid namespace nodes in XPointer ranges, which allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (use-after-free and memory corruption) via a crafted XML document.
