CVE-2026-42193
Crítica · 9.1
CWE-347 08/05/2026

CWE-79 08/05/2026
Plunk: Stored XSS in campaign view
Plunk is an open-source email platform built on top of AWS SES. Prior to version 0.9.0, a stored cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the campaign management feature, where the email body content created by authenticated project members is stored and later rendered in the admin dashboard using React's dangerouslySetInnerHTML without any HTML sanitization. This allows a lower-privileged member to embed malicious scripts in a campaign's email body that execute in the context of any admin or other member who views the campaign, potentially enabling session hijacking or unauthorized actions on their behalf. This issue has been patched in version 0.9.0.

CWE-93 06/04/2026
Plunk has a CRLF Email Header Injection in raw MIME message construction allows authenticated API user to inject arbitrary email headers
Plunk is an open-source email platform built on top of AWS SES. Prior to 0.8.0, a CRLF header injection vulnerability was discovered in SESService.ts, where user-supplied values for from.name, subject, custom header keys/values, and attachment filenames were interpolated directly into raw MIME messages without sanitization. An authenticated API user could inject arbitrary email headers (e.g. Bcc, Reply-To) by embedding carriage return/line feed characters in these fields, enabling silent email forwarding, reply redirection, or sender spoofing. The fix adds input validation at the schema level to reject any of these fields containing \r or \n characters, consistent with the existing validation already applied to the contentId field. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.0.

CWE-918 11/03/2026
Plunk has SSRF via unvalidated AWS SNS SubscriptionConfirmation in POST /webhooks/sns
Plunk is an open-source email platform built on top of AWS SES. Prior to 0.7.0, a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability existed in the SNS webhook handler. An unauthenticated attacker could send a crafted request that caused the server to make an arbitrary outbound HTTP GET request to any host accessible from the server. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.7.0.

Plunk has Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) via SVG File Upload
Plunk is an open-source email platform built on top of AWS SES. Prior to 0.7.1, Plunk's image upload endpoint accepted SVG files, which browsers treat as active documents capable of executing embedded JavaScript, creating a stored XSS vulnerability. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.7.1.
