CVE-2026-19474 — @fastify/multipart is a multipart form-data parser for Fastify. In versions from 3.0.0…

@fastify/multipart is a multipart form-data parser for Fastify. In versions from 3.0.0 up to but not including 10.1.1, request.saveRequestFiles() can leave completed temporary files on disk when a client disconnects while the parser is advancing between multipart parts. The iterator rejection that occurs between parts falls outside the per-file cleanup path, so an earlier completed file is never removed. An unauthenticated client can repeat this to cause persistent, linear disk consumption, leading to denial of service. This is an incomplete-fix variant of CVE-2025-24033. The issue is fixed in @fastify/multipart 10.1.1. Users should upgrade to 10.1.1.

Who exploits it and how urgent it is

A 0–100 score combining confirmed exploitation, ransomware and APT use, public exploits, EPSS and severity.

No exploitation signal in the sources consulted so far.
How the score was calculated
  • Technical severity (high)+6

The score orders the patch queue; it does not replace your asset context (internet exposure, criticality, compensating controls).

Triage

Is it exploited, how likely is exploitation, what does it touch, and how severe do the sources call it.

First 24 hours

Ordered from the record’s own fields — exposure first, because you cannot patch what you have not found. A rule-generated starting point.

  1. Identify exposed assets running the affected vendor/product/version combinations (Fastify Fastify-multipart).
  2. The attack is network-based and needs no privileges: restrict exposure (ACLs, VPN, WAF) until patched.
  3. Apply the documented mitigations until a definitive fix is available.
  4. Search available logs for exploit probes, errors and authentication anomalies.

What should defenders know first?

CVE-2026-19474 is "@fastify/multipart is a multipart form-data parser for Fastify. In versions from 3.0.0…", rated High. It affects Fastify-multipart (Fastify); versions are in the scope table. It is not in CISA KEV, which does not rule out exploitation. CVSS 7.5 describes technical severity. First verify whether exposed or business-critical assets run the affected versions, apply vendor fixes or mitigations, and preserve logs for review.
