CVE-2026-45812 Medium · 6.5 CWE-131 Jul 24, 2026
Apache NimBLE: OOB Read via sizeof(pointer) in Legacy Advertising Report Handler
Incorrect Calculation of Buffer Size vulnerability in Apache NimBLE when processing Legacy Advertising Report HCI event. When a single HCI advertising report event bundles multiple reports, NimBLE miscalculated the offset to the next report. This can cause the host to read past the end of the buffer and deliver a GAP event with bogus data to the application. Severity is low: NimBLE's own controller never batches multiple reports into one event, so this only matters when NimBLE's host is paired with a third-party controller that does. This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue.

FFmpeg 3.0 - 8.1.2 vf_swaprect Out-of-Bounds Write via NV12 Frame Processing
FFmpeg versions 3.0 through 8.1.2 contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the vf_swaprect video filter that allows attackers to corrupt heap memory by supplying a crafted NV12 video frame with odd width dimensions. The filter_frame() function reuses a temporary row buffer sized for plane 0's single-byte pixel step across all planes, causing an 18-byte memcpy into a 17-byte heap allocation when processing the two-byte-per-sample interleaved chroma plane of a 17x16 NV12 frame, resulting in heap corruption and process crash with potential for code execution.
CVE-2026-65705 High · 7.8 CWE-131 Jul 23, 2026
FFmpeg 3.4 - 8.1.2 vf_floodfill Out-of-Bounds Write via filter_frame()
FFmpeg versions 3.4 through 8.1.2 contain an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the vf_floodfill video filter that allows attackers to corrupt heap memory by supplying a dynamically sized video stream with filtergraph reinitialization disabled via -reinit_filter 0. When config_input() allocates the points traversal stack based on initial frame dimensions and a subsequent larger frame is processed, filter_frame() performs flood-fill neighbor pushes beyond the original allocation boundary, resulting in heap corruption and process crash with potential for code execution depending on heap layout and process hardening.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm/snapshot: fix dumping of the unaligned regions The snapshotting code internally aligns data segment to 16 bytes. This works fine for DPU code (where most of the regions are aligned), but fails for snapshotting of the DSI data (because DSI data region is shifted by 4 bytes). Fix the code by removing length alignment and by accurately printing last registers in the region. While reworking the code also fix the 16x memory overallocation in msm_disp_state_dump_regs(). CVE-2026-45784 High · 7.1 CWE-131 Jul 17, 2026
rust-openssl: Potential out-of-bounds write in `CipherCtxRef::cipher_update_inplace` for AES-KW-PAD ciphers
rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language. From 0.10.50 until 0.10.80, CipherCtxRef::cipher_update_inplace in openssl/src/cipher_ctx.rs incorrectly sized output buffers when used with AES key-wrap-with-padding ciphers EVP_aes_{128,192,256}_wrap_pad. For a non-multiple-of-8 input, OpenSSL writes up to 7 bytes past the end of the caller's buffer or Vec, producing attacker-controllable heap corruption when the plaintext length is attacker-influenced. This issue is fixed in version 0.10.80.
CVE-2026-53366 High · 7.8 CWE-131 Jul 16, 2026
ipv4: account for fraggap on the paged allocation path
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: account for fraggap on the paged allocation path In __ip_append_data(), when the paged-allocation branch is taken, alloclen and pagedlen are computed as alloclen = fragheaderlen + transhdrlen; pagedlen = datalen - transhdrlen; datalen already includes fraggap, but the fraggap bytes carried over from the previous skb are copied into the new skb's linear area at offset transhdrlen by the subsequent skb_copy_and_csum_bits(). The linear area is therefore undersized by fraggap bytes while pagedlen is overstated by the same amount. The non-paged branch sets alloclen to fraglen, which already accounts for fraggap because datalen does. Bring the paged branch in line by adding fraggap to alloclen and subtracting it from pagedlen. After this adjustment, copy no longer collapses to -fraggap on the paged path, so remove the stale comment describing that old arithmetic.

FreeRDP: Heap out-of-bounds write in RemoteFX (RFX) Cache Bitmap V3 decode
FreeRDP is a free implementation of the Remote Desktop Protocol. Prior to 3.27.1, FreeRDP clients launched with the non-default /cache:codec:rfx option pass desktop stride and height to RemoteFX decoding for Cache Bitmap V3 data while allocating bitmap->data only for the smaller DstWidth and DstHeight in gdi_Bitmap_Decompress, allowing a malicious RDP server to trigger a heap out-of-bounds write with attacker-controlled offset and content. This issue is fixed in version 3.27.1.

net: pull headers in qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: pull headers in qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init() Most ndo_start_xmit() methods expects headers of gso packets to be already in skb->head. net/core/tso.c users are particularly at risk, because tso_build_hdr() does a memcpy(hdr, skb->data, hdr_len); qdisc_pkt_len_segs_init() already does a dissection of gso packets. Use pskb_may_pull() instead of skb_header_pointer() to make sure drivers do not have to reimplement this. Some malicious packets could be fed, detect them so that we can drop them sooner with a new SKB_DROP_REASON_SKB_BAD_GSO drop_reason.

vLLM: extract_hidden_states speculative decoding crashes server on any request with penalty parameters
vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models (LLMs). From 0.18.0 to before 0.20.0, the extract_hidden_states speculative decoding proposer in vLLM returns a tensor with an incorrect shape after the first decode step, causing a RuntimeError that crashes the EngineCore process. The crash is triggered when any request in the batch uses sampling penalty parameters (repetition_penalty, frequency_penalty, or presence_penalty). A single request with a penalty parameter (e.g., "repetition_penalty": 1.1) is sufficient to crash the server. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.20.0.

drm/v3d: Set DMA segment size to avoid debug warnings
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/v3d: Set DMA segment size to avoid debug warnings When using V3D rendering with CONFIG_DMA_API_DEBUG enabled, the kernel occasionally reports a segment size mismatch. This is because 'max_seg_size' is not set. The kernel defaults to 64K. setting 'max_seg_size' to the maximum will prevent 'debug_dma_map_sg()' from complaining about the over-mapping of the V3D segment length. ASoC: SOF: ipc4-topology: Correct the allocation size for bytes controls
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: SOF: ipc4-topology: Correct the allocation size for bytes controls The size of the data behind of scontrol->ipc_control_data for bytes controls is: [1] sizeof(struct sof_ipc4_control_data) + // kernel only struct [2] sizeof(struct sof_abi_hdr)) + payload The max_size specifies the size of [2] and it is coming from topology. Change the function to take this into account and allocate adequate amount of memory behind scontrol->ipc_control_data. With the change we will allocate [1] amount more memory to be able to hold the full size of data.

xfrm: account XFRMA_IF_ID in aevent size calculation
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: xfrm: account XFRMA_IF_ID in aevent size calculation xfrm_get_ae() allocates the reply skb with xfrm_aevent_msgsize(), then build_aevent() appends attributes including XFRMA_IF_ID when x->if_id is set. xfrm_aevent_msgsize() does not include space for XFRMA_IF_ID. For states with if_id, build_aevent() can fail with -EMSGSIZE and hit BUG_ON(err < 0) in xfrm_get_ae(), turning a malformed netlink interaction into a kernel panic. Account XFRMA_IF_ID in the size calculation unconditionally and replace the BUG_ON with normal error unwinding.

rust-openssl: Deriver::derive and PkeyCtxRef::derive can overflow short buffers on OpenSSL 1.1.1
rust-openssl provides OpenSSL bindings for the Rust programming language. From 0.9.27 to before 0.10.78, Deriver::derive (and PkeyCtxRef::derive) sets len = buf.len() and passes it as the in/out length to EVP_PKEY_derive, relying on OpenSSL to honor it. On OpenSSL 1.1.x, X25519, X448, DH and HKDF-extract ignore the incoming *keylen, unconditionally writing the full shared secret (32/56/prime-size bytes). A caller passing a short slice gets a heap/stack overflow from safe code. OpenSSL 3.x providers do check, so this only impacts older OpenSSL. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.10.78.

Noir Brillig Foreign Call Nested Array Under-Allocation Causes Heap Corruption
Noir is a Domain Specific Language for SNARK proving systems that is designed to use any ACIR compatible proving system, and Brillig is the bytecode ACIR uses for non-determinism. Noir programs can invoke external functions through foreign calls. When compiling to Brillig bytecode, the SSA instructions are processed block-by-block in `BrilligBlock::compile_block()`. When the compiler encounters an `Instruction::Call` with a `Value::ForeignFunction` target, it invokes `codegen_call()` in `brillig_call/code_gen_call.rs`, which dispatches to `convert_ssa_foreign_call()`. Before emitting the foreign call opcode, the compiler must pre-allocate memory for any array results the call will return. This happens through `allocate_external_call_results()`, which iterates over the result types. For `Type::Array` results, it delegates to `allocate_foreign_call_result_array()` to recursively allocate memory on the heap for nested arrays. The `BrilligArray` struct is the internal representation of a Noir array in Brillig IR. Its `size` field represents the semi-flattened size, the total number of memory slots the array occupies, accounting for the fact that composite types like tuples consume multiple slots per element. This size is computed by `compute_array_length()` in `brillig_block_variables.rs`. For the outer array, `allocate_external_call_results()` correctly uses `define_variable()`, which internally calls `allocate_value_with_type()`. This function applies the formula above, producing the correct semi-flattened size. However, for nested arrays, `allocate_foreign_call_result_array()` contains a bug. The pattern `Type::Array(_, nested_size)` discards the inner types with `_` and uses only `nested_size`, the semantic length of the nested array (the number of logical elements), not the semi-flattened size. For simple element types this works correctly, but for composite element types it under-allocates. Foreign calls returning nested arrays of tuples or other composite types corrupt the Brillig VM heap. Version 1.0.0-beta.19 fixes this issue.

ksmbd: replace hardcoded hdr2_len with offsetof() in smb2_calc_max_out_buf_len()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ksmbd: replace hardcoded hdr2_len with offsetof() in smb2_calc_max_out_buf_len() After this commit (e2b76ab8b5c9 "ksmbd: add support for read compound"), response buffer management was changed to use dynamic iov array. In the new design, smb2_calc_max_out_buf_len() expects the second argument (hdr2_len) to be the offset of ->Buffer field in the response structure, not a hardcoded magic number. Fix the remaining call sites to use the correct offsetof() value.

NEMU (OpenXiangShan/NEMU) before v2025.12.r2 contains an improper instruction-validation flaw in its RISC-V Vector (RVV) decoder. The decoder does not correctly validate the funct3 field when decoding vsetvli/vsetivli/vsetvl, allowing certain invalid OP-V instruction encodings to be misinterpreted and executed as vset* configuration instructions rather than raising an illegal-instruction exception. This can be exploited by providing crafted RISC-V binaries to cause incorrect trap behavior, architectural state corruption/divergence, and potential denial of service in systems that rely on NEMU for correct execution or sandboxing.
