Kraken Agents Peer-to-Peer Download Cache Poisoning via Digest Verification Bypass
Kraken agents fail to verify peer-to-peer downloaded blobs against their requested SHA-256 digest before committing to the content-addressable cache, relying only on CRC32 checksums for piece validation. Attackers on the agent-to-agent path or malicious peers can supply substituted content with forged CRC32 corrections that passes per-piece checks, poisoning the cache with attacker-chosen container image layers or manifests that are re-seeded and executed by other hosts.

Possible heap buffer overflow when validator canonicalizes RDATA that contains domain name
In NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.25.1, when the validator builds the canonical RDATA form for an RRSIG-covered PX/RP/MINFO/SOA RRset, it computes the address of the second embedded domain name as 'datstart + dname_valid(datstart, ...)' and passes it straight to 'query_dname_tolower()' without checking that a second name is actually present in the RDATA. The wire-format parser accepts multi-dname RRs whose RDATA ends after the first name, so an attacker who runs a DNSSEC-signed authoritative server can deliver a record with an absent second domain name (e.g. SOA record) and cause 'query_dname_tolower()' to walk label-by-label through stale bytes in the per-worker 'env->scratch_buffer', past the end of that heap allocation if 'msg-buffer-size' has been lowered from the default. This leads to heap buffer overflow and on a release build the outcome relies heavily on the contents of the buffer tail and the adjacent heap chunk.

Silent Drop of TLS 1.3 Encrypted Records in s2n-tls
Missing validation of the outer content_type byte on TLS 1.3 encrypted records in s2n-tls allows an active man-in-the-middle to silently discard individual application data records without either endpoint detecting the modification. RFC 8446 Section 5.2 requires that the outer content_type of all encrypted TLS 1.3 records must be application_data (0x17). The s2n-tls AEAD implementation hardcodes this value in the additional authenticated data rather than using the actual wire byte, so the outer content_type is not covered by the authentication tag.
This enables selective suppression of application data. In HTTP pipelining scenarios, dropping a TLS record containing an HTTP request can cause request/response desynchronization, where subsequent responses are delivered to the wrong requests. In write-heavy workloads, a dropped record containing a write request can result in undetectable data loss when the client interprets a subsequent success response as confirmation of the dropped write.
All TLS 1.3 connections are affected. Both TLS clients and servers are affected. TLS 1.2 and QUIC connections are not affected.
We recommend you upgrade s2n-tls to version v1.7.6

1756-EN2, 1756-EN3, and 1756-ENBT - Denial of Service via CIP Connection ID
A denial-of-service security issue exists across all the 1756-EN2, EN3, and ENBT communication module due to improper validation of CIP Implicit Connection packets. An attacker on the network can exploit this by sending crafted packets to continuously disrupt device connections, though device connections will recover immediately after.

HMAC-BLAKE2 final discards message when key length exceeds block size
wc_Blake2bHmacFinal and wc_Blake2sHmacFinal discard the message when the key length exceeds the block size, producing a MAC that is independent of the input. When the supplied key is longer than the BLAKE2 block size the key-hashing branch reinitialized the running hash state, discarding the accumulated message data, so the resulting MAC depended only on the key and not on the message being authenticated. This bug is specific to the HMAC-BLAKE2 APIs that were added in wolfSSL version 5.9.0.

pnpm: Integrity Check Bypass via Missing Lockfile Integrity Field
pnpm is a package manager. Prior to 10.34.0 and 11.4.0, pnpm's tarball extraction worker skips integrity verification when the integrity field is absent from the lockfile resolution. If an attacker can both modify pnpm-lock.yaml to remove the integrity: field and cause the referenced registry URL to serve altered package content, pnpm install --frozen-lockfile can install the altered package without an integrity error. npm's npm ci enforces integrity by default; pnpm's behavior of silently skipping verification is a pnpm-specific fail-open gap. This vulnerability is fixed in 10.34.0 and 11.4.0.

Mastodon: Spoofing of attribution domains
Mastodon is a free, open-source social network server based on ActivityPub. From 4.3.0 until 4.5.11 and 4.4.18, Mastodon has a feature to let websites credit authors of their articles. To prevent false attribution claims, Mastodon uses the attributionDomains JSON-LD term, however, an error in how it is defined makes Linked Data Signatures on the toot:attributionDomains property ineffective. An attacker can arbitrarily modify the attributionDomains value of a legitimately signed Update activity and bypass Mastodon’s signature verification. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.11 and 4.4.18.

Mastodon: Removal of integrity-protected JSON entries from signed activities
Mastodon is a free, open-source social network server based on ActivityPub. Prior to 4.5.10, 4.4.17, and 4.3.23, Mastodon's normalization of incoming activities signed with Linked-Data Signatures does not sufficiently protect the activities from a certain class of spoofing, allowing threat actors to remove JSON entries from valid signed activities from a third-party actor. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.5.10, 4.4.17, and 4.3.23.

CWE-354 Jun 9, 2026
CMS AuthEnvelopedData Processing May Accept Forged Messages
Issue Summary: Cryptographic Message Services (CMS) processing fails to perform
sufficient input validation on the cipher and tag length fields of
AuthEnvelopedData containers, leading to various potential compromises.
Impact Summary: Attackers making use of these vulnerabilities may achieve
key-equivalent functionality for a given CMS recipient and/or bypass integrity
validation for a given message.
In one use case, an attacker may send a CMS message containing
AuthEnvelopedData with the cipher specified as a non-AEAD cipher. OpenSSL
erroneously allows this selection, and attempts to decrypt and validate the
message.
An on-path attacker who captures one legitimate AES-GCM AuthEnvelopedData
addressed to the victim can re-emit it with the recipientInfos set left
byte-for-byte intact, so the victim's private key still unwraps the genuine CEK
(the content-encryption key), but with the inner OID rewritten to AES-256-OFB
(Output Feedback Mode, an unauthenticated keystream mode) and with an
attacker-chosen IV and ciphertext. The victim initializes AES-256-OFB under the
real CEK, never consults the MAC field, and CMS_decrypt() returns success.
If the application under attack responds to the attacker with any indicator
showing success or failure of the decryption effort, it is possible for the
attacker to use this as an oracle to obtain key equivalent functionality for the
CEK used for the chosen recipient of the message.
In another use case, an attacker can reduce the tag length of the chosen AEAD
cipher for a given AuthEnvelopedData container to be a single byte long,
allowing an attacker to brute force CMS decryption, producing an integrity
bypass for applications that trust CMS_decrypt() to reject modified content.
The FIPS modules are not affected by this issue.

CWE-354 Jun 9, 2026
PKCS#12 Files with PBMAC1 Are Accepted with Short HMAC Keys
Issue Summary: The PKCS#12 file processing fails to perform sufficient input
validation for files that use Password-Based Message Authentication Code 1
(PBMAC1) integrity mechanism allowing a certificate and private key forgery.
Impact Summary: An attacker impersonating a user can cause a service reading
PKCS#12 files to accept forged certificates and private keys with a 1 in 256
probability.
If a service accepting PKCS#12 files is using passwords for authenticating
the received files, the attacker can create unencrypted PKCS#12 files that
use PBMAC1 authentication that specifies an HMAC key of only one byte, allowing
them to craft a file that will be accepted with a 1 in 256 probability.
That would then cause the service to accept a certificate and private key
controlled by the attacker.
The FIPS modules are not affected by this issue, as the affected code is
outside the OpenSSL FIPS module boundary.

Missing integrity verification in Triton inference handler in Amazon SageMaker Python SDK
Missing integrity verification in the Triton inference handler in Amazon SageMaker Python SDK v2 before v2.257.2 and v3 before v3.8.0 might allow a remote authenticated actor to achieve code execution in inference containers via replacement of model artifacts in S3 with a specially crafted pickle payload that is deserialized without verification. This issue requires a remote authenticated actor with S3 write access to the model artifact path.
To remediate this issue, we recommend upgrading to Amazon SageMaker Python SDK v2.257.2 or v3.8.0 and rebuild any Triton models previously created with ModelBuilder using the updated SDK.

crypto: krb5enc - fix async decrypt skipping hash verification
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: krb5enc - fix async decrypt skipping hash verification
krb5enc_dispatch_decrypt() sets req->base.complete as the skcipher
callback, which is the caller's own completion handler. When the
skcipher completes asynchronously, this signals "done" to the caller
without executing krb5enc_dispatch_decrypt_hash(), completely bypassing
the integrity verification (hash check).
Compare with the encrypt path which correctly uses
krb5enc_encrypt_done as an intermediate callback to chain into the
hash computation on async completion.
Fix by adding krb5enc_decrypt_done as an intermediate callback that
chains into krb5enc_dispatch_decrypt_hash() upon async skcipher
completion, matching the encrypt path's callback pattern.
Also fix EBUSY/EINPROGRESS handling throughout: remove
krb5enc_request_complete() which incorrectly swallowed EINPROGRESS
notifications that must be passed up to callers waiting on backlogged
requests, and add missing EBUSY checks in krb5enc_encrypt_ahash_done
for the dispatch_encrypt return value.
Unset MAY_BACKLOG on the async completion path so the user won't
see back-to-back EINPROGRESS notifications.

CWE-354 Apr 30, 2026
Lockfile checksums not verified in Hex allows dependency integrity bypass
Insufficient Verification of Data Authenticity vulnerability in hexpm hex (Hex.RemoteConverger module) allows dependency integrity bypass via unverified lockfile checksums.
Hex stores checksums for dependencies in the mix.lock file to ensure reproducible and integrity-checked builds. However, Hex.RemoteConverger.verify_resolved/2 never executes checksum verification because the lock data returned by Hex.Utils.lock/1 uses string-based dependency names, while the verification logic compares against atom-based names. This type mismatch causes the verification code path to be silently skipped. Checksums are still validated when packages are initially downloaded from the registry, but mismatches between the lockfile and resolved dependencies are not detected.
An attacker who can influence cached packages (e.g., via local cache poisoning or a compromised registry) can provide modified dependency contents that will be accepted without detection. The mix.lock file is silently rewritten with the checksum values from the registry, erasing evidence of tampering.
This issue affects hex: from 0.16.0 before 2.4.2.

High · 7.7
CWE-354 Apr 17, 2026
xrdp: RDP MAC signature (dataSignature) never verified on receive — integrity bypass in non-TLS mode
xrdp is an open source RDP server. In versions through 0.10.5, xrdp does not implement verification for the Message Authentication Code (MAC) signature of encrypted RDP packets when using the "Classic RDP Security" layer. While the sender correctly generates signatures, the receiving logic lacks the necessary implementation to validate the 8-byte integrity signature, causing it to be silently ignored. An unauthenticated attacker with man-in-the-middle (MITM) capabilities can exploit this missing check to modify encrypted traffic in transit without detection. It does not affect connections where the TLS security layer is enforced. This issue has been fixed in version 0.10.6. If users are unable to immediately upgrade, they should configure xrdp.ini to enforce TLS security (security_layer=tls) to ensure end-to-end integrity.

wolfSSL EVP ChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD authentication tag
In wolfSSL's EVP layer, the ChaCha20-Poly1305 AEAD decryption path in wolfSSL_EVP_CipherFinal (and related EVP cipher finalization functions) fails to verify the authentication tag before returning plaintext to the caller. When an application uses the EVP API to perform ChaCha20-Poly1305 decryption, the implementation computes or accepts the tag but does not compare it against the expected value.

Lack of Dynamic Library Validation in SzafirHost
SzafirHost downloads necessary files in the context of the initiating web page. When called, SzafirHost updates its dynamic library. JAR files are correctly verified based on a list of trusted file hashes, and if a file was not on that list, it was checked to see if it had been digitally signed by the vendor. The application doesn't verify hash or vendor's digital signature of uploaded DLL, SO, JNILIB or DYLIB file. The attacker can provide malicious file which will be saved in users /temp folder and executed by the application.
This issue was fixed in version 1.1.0.
