CVE-2026-58395 Medium · 4.3 CWE-643 Oct 15, 2026
OPNsense: XPath injection in MVC safe-delete
OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the safe-delete path reached through ApiMutableModelControllerBase::delBase() interpolates an unvalidated safe-delete token from the request URL into an XPath expression over config.xml before confirming that the token is a valid identifier. A user holding any one affected module privilege can send a crafted token to one of 21 affected delete endpoints covering Traffic Shaper, DHCP relay, Dnsmasq, Firewall Category, or Kea DHCP, causing the XPath to match configuration data across modules. The resulting error response exposes configuration item names, descriptions, reference paths, and UUIDs and provides an XPath substring-presence oracle, including for modules the user cannot otherwise access. The request does not modify configuration or perform a deletion. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11.

Multiple security vulnerabilities are addressed with IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation iFixes for August 2026.
IBM Cloud Pak for Business Automation 26.0.0 through 26.0.0 Interim Fix 001, 25.0.0 through 25.0.0 Interim Fix 005, 24.0.1 through 24.0.1 Interim Fix 008, and 24.0.0 through 24.0.0 Interim Fix 009 is vulnerable to an XPath injection vulnerability, which could allow an authenticated attacker to exfiltrate sensitive application data and/or determine the structure of the XML document.

XML::Sig versions before 0.71 for Perl allow XPath injection in ID lookup
XML::Sig versions before 0.71 for Perl allow XPath injection in ID lookup. verify() and _get_signed_xml() in lib/XML/Sig.pm build XPath expressions by concatenating the SignedInfo/Reference/@URI value read from the document being verified. The value is neither escaped nor checked against the NCName grammar that XML requires of an ID, so a URI containing a single quote closes the string literal in the generated expression and appends arbitrary XPath operators. A crafted URI can make the lookup match elements the reference does not name, or every element in the document, so which node is selected for digest verification is decided by the injected expression rather than by the reference.

Plesk contains an XPath injection vulnerability in the APS Application Catalog search…
Plesk contains an XPath injection vulnerability in the APS Application Catalog search functionality, where user-supplied input is interpolated into XPath queries without proper sanitization. This allows an authenticated, low-privileged user to execute arbitrary operating system commands on the server, resulting in local privilege escalation.
CVE-2026-40699 Medium · 6.5 CWE-643 May 13, 2026
BIG-IP Configuration utility vulnerability
A vulnerability exists in the undisclosed pages in the Configuration utility that may allow a low-privileged authenticated attacker to access to undisclosed sensitive information.  Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated.

Apache HertzBeat: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption via Crafted XPath Expressions
Improper Neutralization of Data within XPath Expressions ('XPath Injection') vulnerability in Apache HertzBeat. This issue affects Apache HertzBeat: from 1.7.1 before 1.8.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.8.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2025-11844 Medium · 5.4 CWE-643 Oct 22, 2025
XPath Injection in Hugging Face Smolagents search_item_ctrl_f Function
Hugging Face Smolagents version 1.20.0 contains an XPath injection vulnerability in the search_item_ctrl_f function located in src/smolagents/vision_web_browser.py. The function constructs an XPath query by directly concatenating user-supplied input into the XPath expression without proper sanitization or escaping. This allows an attacker to inject malicious XPath syntax that can alter the intended query logic. The vulnerability enables attackers to bypass search filters, access unintended DOM elements, and disrupt web automation workflows. This can lead to information disclosure, manipulation of AI agent interactions, and compromise the reliability of automated web tasks. The issue is fixed in version 1.22.0.
