Improper conditions check in some firmware for some Intel(R) NPU Drivers within Ring 1…
Improper conditions check in some firmware for some Intel(R) NPU Drivers within Ring 1: Device Drivers may allow a denial of service. Unprivileged software adversary with an authenticated user combined with a low complexity attack may enable denial of service. This result may potentially occur via local access when attack requirements are not present without special internal knowledge and requires no user interaction. The potential vulnerability may impact the confidentiality (none), integrity (low) and availability (high) of the vulnerable system, resulting in subsequent system confidentiality (none), integrity (none) and availability (none) impacts.

Clerk: Authorization bypass when combining organization, billing, or reverification checks
Clerk JavaScript is the official JavaScript repository for Clerk authentication. has(), auth.protect(), and related authorization predicates in @clerk/shared, @clerk/nextjs, @clerk/backend, and other framework SDKs can return true for certain combined authorization checks when the result should be false, allowing a gated action to proceed for a user who does not satisfy the full set of requested conditions. This call shape can be bypassed if certain conditions are met: a has() or auth.protect() call that combines a reverification check with any of role, permission, feature, or plan, or that combines a billing check (feature or plan) with a role or permission check. This vulnerability is fixed in @clerk/clerk-js 5.125.10 and 6.7.5.

CWE-754 May 7, 2026
Admidio: Missing Minimum Administrator Check in Role Membership Removal
Admidio is an open-source user management solution. Prior to version 5.0.9, Role::stopMembership() does not verify whether removing a user from the administrator role leaves zero administrators. The deprecated Membership::stopMembership() contains this safety check, but the current code path bypasses it. Any administrator can remove the last remaining other administrator, locking the entire system out of administrative access. The exploit does not require concurrent requests; sequential removals produce the same result. This issue has been patched in version 5.0.9.

CWE-754 May 6, 2026
net: consume xmit errors of GSO frames
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: consume xmit errors of GSO frames
udpgro_frglist.sh and udpgro_bench.sh are the flakiest tests
currently in NIPA. They fail in the same exact way, TCP GRO
test stalls occasionally and the test gets killed after 10min.
These tests use veth to simulate GRO. They attach a trivial
("return XDP_PASS;") XDP program to the veth to force TSO off
and NAPI on.
Digging into the failure mode we can see that the connection
is completely stuck after a burst of drops. The sender's snd_nxt
is at sequence number N [1], but the receiver claims to have
received (rcv_nxt) up to N + 3 * MSS [2]. Last piece of the puzzle
is that senders rtx queue is not empty (let's say the block in
the rtx queue is at sequence number N - 4 * MSS [3]).
In this state, sender sends a retransmission from the rtx queue
with a single segment, and sequence numbers N-4*MSS:N-3*MSS [3].
Receiver sees it and responds with an ACK all the way up to
N + 3 * MSS [2]. But sender will reject this ack as TCP_ACK_UNSENT_DATA
because it has no recollection of ever sending data that far out [1].
And we are stuck.
The root cause is the mess of the xmit return codes. veth returns
an error when it can't xmit a frame. We end up with a loss event
like this:
-------------------------------------------------
| GSO super frame 1 | GSO super frame 2 |
|-----------------------------------------------|
| seg | seg | seg | seg | seg | seg | seg | seg |
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 8 |
-------------------------------------------------
x ok ok <ok>| ok ok ok <x>
\\
snd_nxt
"x" means packet lost by veth, and "ok" means it went thru.
Since veth has TSO disabled in this test it sees individual segments.
Segment 1 is on the retransmit queue and will be resent.
So why did the sender not advance snd_nxt even tho it clearly did
send up to seg 8? tcp_write_xmit() interprets the return code
from the core to mean that data has not been sent at all. Since
TCP deals with GSO super frames, not individual segment the crux
of the problem is that loss of a single segment can be interpreted
as loss of all. TCP only sees the last return code for the last
segment of the GSO frame (in <> brackets in the diagram above).
Of course for the problem to occur we need a setup or a device
without a Qdisc. Otherwise Qdisc layer disconnects the protocol
layer from the device errors completely.
We have multiple ways to fix this.
1) make veth not return an error when it lost a packet.
While this is what I think we did in the past, the issue keeps
reappearing and it's annoying to debug. The game of whack
a mole is not great.
2) fix the damn return codes
We only talk about NETDEV_TX_OK and NETDEV_TX_BUSY in the
documentation, so maybe we should make the return code from
ndo_start_xmit() a boolean. I like that the most, but perhaps
some ancient, not-really-networking protocol would suffer.
3) make TCP ignore the errors
It is not entirely clear to me what benefit TCP gets from
interpreting the result of ip_queue_xmit()? Specifically once
the connection is established and we're pushing data - packet
loss is just packet loss?
4) this fix
Ignore the rc in the Qdisc-less+GSO case, since it's unreliable.
We already always return OK in the TCQ_F_CAN_BYPASS case.
In the Qdisc-less case let's be a bit more conservative and only
mask the GSO errors. This path is taken by non-IP-"networks"
like CAN, MCTP etc, so we could regress some ancient thing.
This is the simplest, but also maybe the hackiest fix?
Similar fix has been proposed by Eric in the past but never committed
because original reporter was working with an OOT driver and wasn't
providing feedback (see Link).

KVM: nSVM: Always use vmcb01 in VMLOAD/VMSAVE emulation
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
KVM: nSVM: Always use vmcb01 in VMLOAD/VMSAVE emulation
Commit cc3ed80ae69f ("KVM: nSVM: always use vmcb01 to for vmsave/vmload
of guest state") made KVM always use vmcb01 for the fields controlled by
VMSAVE/VMLOAD, but it missed updating the VMLOAD/VMSAVE emulation code
to always use vmcb01.
As a result, if VMSAVE/VMLOAD is executed by an L2 guest and is not
intercepted by L1, KVM will mistakenly use vmcb02. Always use vmcb01
instead of the current VMCB.

btrfs: fix incorrect return value after changing leaf in lookup_extent_data_ref()
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
btrfs: fix incorrect return value after changing leaf in lookup_extent_data_ref()
After commit 1618aa3c2e01 ("btrfs: simplify return variables in
lookup_extent_data_ref()"), the err and ret variables were merged into
a single ret variable. However, when btrfs_next_leaf() returns 0
(success), ret is overwritten from -ENOENT to 0. If the first key in
the next leaf does not match (different objectid or type), the function
returns 0 instead of -ENOENT, making the caller believe the lookup
succeeded when it did not. This can lead to operations on the wrong
extent tree item, potentially causing extent tree corruption.
Fix this by returning -ENOENT directly when the key does not match,
instead of relying on the ret variable.

rxrpc: reject undecryptable rxkad response tickets
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
rxrpc: reject undecryptable rxkad response tickets
rxkad_decrypt_ticket() decrypts the RXKAD response ticket and then
parses the buffer as plaintext without checking whether
crypto_skcipher_decrypt() succeeded.
A malformed RESPONSE can therefore use a non-block-aligned ticket
length, make the decrypt operation fail, and still drive the ticket
parser with attacker-controlled bytes.
Check the decrypt result and abort the connection with RXKADBADTICKET
when ticket decryption fails.

uutils coreutils printenv Security Inspection Bypass via UTF-8 Enforcement
The printenv utility in uutils coreutils fails to display environment variables containing invalid UTF-8 byte sequences. While POSIX permits arbitrary bytes in environment strings, the uutils implementation silently skips these entries rather than printing the raw bytes. This vulnerability allows malicious environment variables (e.g., adversarial LD_PRELOAD values) to evade inspection by administrators or security auditing tools, potentially allowing library injection or other environment-based attacks to go undetected.

free5GC UDR: Fail-open handling in PolicyDataSubsToNotifyPost allows unintended subscription creation
free5GC UDR is the user data repository (UDR) for free5GC, an an open-source project for 5th generation (5G) mobile core networks. In versions up to and including 1.4.2, a fail-open request handling flaw in the UDR service causes the `/nudr-dr/v2/policy-data/subs-to-notify` POST handler to continue processing requests even after request body retrieval or deserialization errors. This may allow unintended creation of Policy Data notification subscriptions with invalid, empty, or partially processed input, depending on downstream processor behavior. As of time of publication, a patched version is not available.

Junos OS: EX Series, QFX Series: In a VXLAN scenario when specific control protocol packets are received, memory leaks and eventually no traffic is passed
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on specific EX and QFX Series devices allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a complete Denial of Service (DoS).
On EX4k, and QFX5k platforms configured as service-provider edge devices, if L2PT is enabled on the UNI and VSTP is enabled on NNI in VXLAN scenarios, receiving VSTP BPDUs on UNI leads to packet buffer allocation failures, resulting in the device to not pass traffic anymore until it is manually recovered with a restart. This issue affects Junos OS:
* 24.4 releases before 24.4R2,
* 25.2 releases before 25.2R1-S1, 25.2R2.

Junos OS: MX Series: Firewall filters on lo0.<non-0> in the default routing instance are not in effect
An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to bypass the configured firewall filter and access the control-plane of the device.
On MX platforms with
MPC10, MPC11, LC4800 or LC9600
line cards, and MX304, firewall filters applied on a loopback interface lo0.n (where n is a non-0 number) don't get executed when lo0.n is in the global VRF / default routing-instance.
An affected configuration would be:
user@host# show configuration interfaces lo0 | display set
set interfaces lo0 unit 1 family inet filter input <filter-name>
where a firewall filter is applied to a non-0 loopback interface, but that loopback interface is not referred to in any routing-instance (RI) configuration, which implies that it's used in the default RI.
The issue can be observed with the CLI command:
user@device> show firewall counter filter <filter_name>
not showing any matches.
This issue affects Junos OS on MX Series:
* all versions before 23.2R2-S6,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S7,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R2.

bsv-sdk ARC broadcaster treats INVALID/MALFORMED/ORPHAN responses as successful broadcasts
BSV Ruby SDK is the Ruby SDK for the BSV blockchain. From 0.1.0 to before 0.8.2, BSV::Network::ARC's failure detection only recognises REJECTED and DOUBLE_SPEND_ATTEMPTED. ARC responses with txStatus values of INVALID, MALFORMED, MINED_IN_STALE_BLOCK, or any ORPHAN-containing extraInfo / txStatus are silently treated as successful broadcasts. Applications that gate actions on broadcaster success are tricked into trusting transactions that were never accepted by the network. This vulnerability is fixed in 0.8.2.

Incorrect Failure Handling in RSA KEM RSASVE Encapsulation
Issue summary: Applications using RSASVE key encapsulation to establish
a secret encryption key can send contents of an uninitialized memory buffer to
a malicious peer.
Impact summary: The uninitialized buffer might contain sensitive data from the
previous execution of the application process which leads to sensitive data
leakage to an attacker.
RSA_public_encrypt() returns the number of bytes written on success and -1
on error. The affected code tests only whether the return value is non-zero.
As a result, if RSA encryption fails, encapsulation can still return success to
the caller, set the output lengths, and leave the caller to use the contents of
the ciphertext buffer as if a valid KEM ciphertext had been produced.
If applications use EVP_PKEY_encapsulate() with RSA/RSASVE on an
attacker-supplied invalid RSA public key without first validating that key,
then this may cause stale or uninitialized contents of the caller-provided
ciphertext buffer to be disclosed to the attacker in place of the KEM
ciphertext.
As a workaround calling EVP_PKEY_public_check() or
EVP_PKEY_public_check_quick() before EVP_PKEY_encapsulate() will mitigate
the issue.
The FIPS modules in 3.6, 3.5, 3.4, 3.3, 3.1 and 3.0 are affected by this issue.

Cosign's verify-blob-attestation reports false positive when payload parsing fails
Cosign provides code signing and transparency for containers and binaries. Prior to 3.0.6 and 2.6.3, cosign verify-blob-attestation may erroneously report a "Verified OK" result for attestations with malformed payloads or mismatched predicate types. For old-format bundles and detached signatures, this was due to a logic flaw in the error handling of the predicate type validation. For new-format bundles, the predicate type validation was bypassed completely. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.0.6 and 2.6.3.

Handlebars.js has Denial of Service via Malformed Decorator Syntax in Template Compilation
Handlebars provides the power necessary to let users build semantic templates. In versions 4.0.0 through 4.7.8, when a Handlebars template contains decorator syntax referencing an unregistered decorator (e.g. `{{*n}}`), the compiled template calls `lookupProperty(decorators, "n")`, which returns `undefined`. The runtime then immediately invokes the result as a function, causing an unhandled `TypeError: ... is not a function` that crashes the Node.js process. Any application that compiles user-supplied templates without wrapping the call in a `try/catch` is vulnerable to a single-request Denial of Service. Version 4.7.9 fixes the issue. Some workarounds are available. Wrap compilation and rendering in `try/catch`. Validate template input before passing it to `compile()`; reject templates containing decorator syntax (`{{*...}}`) if decorators are not used in your application. Use the pre-compilation workflow; compile templates at build time and serve only pre-compiled templates; do not call `compile()` at request time.
