CVE-2026-106032
Medium · 5.7
CWE-918 Oct 6, 2026
Server-side request forgery and local file read via unrestricted external OpenAPI reference resolution in Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit agent import
Server-side request forgery in the OpenAPI schema processing of the agent import functionality in Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit before 0.3.14 might allow an authenticated remote actor in the same AWS account to cause the environment of a user importing a Bedrock Agent to issue arbitrary outbound requests and read arbitrary local files, via crafted external reference values in the OpenAPI content associated with a Bedrock Agent action group.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 0.3.14. Note that bedrock-agentcore-starter-toolkit is deprecated. The @aws/agentcore npm CLI is the supported replacement and does not contain this issue. Migration to @aws/agentcore is the recommended long-term path.
CVE-2026-105812
Critical · 9.0
CWE-94 Oct 6, 2026
Code injection via unencoded configuration values during Python code generation in Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit agent import
Improper control of code generation in the agent import functionality of Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Starter Toolkit before 0.3.14 might allow an authenticated same-account actor to execute arbitrary code when a user imports and runs or deploys a Bedrock Agent, via crafted configuration values incorporated into generated Python source without safe literal encoding.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 0.3.14. Because this issue persists into generated source, upgrading alone is not sufficient: agents imported with an affected version must be re-imported with version 0.3.14 or later and their local and deployed output artifacts replaced.

Medium · 6.5
CWE-639 Oct 6, 2026
Authorization bypass through a user-controlled key in the Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample in QnABot on AWS
Authorization bypass through a user-controlled key in the optional Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample ( q-business-lambda-hook https://github.com/aws-solutions-library-samples/qnabot-on-aws/blob/main/source/docs/lambda_hooks/README.md ), available with QnABot on AWS versions 7.0.0 through 7.4.5, might allow an authenticated remote user to read arbitrary Amazon S3 objects in the deploying AWS account. This sample solution provides an example Lambda hook and requires separate, manual deployment and additional setup. It is not deployed automatically with QnABot. Customers who have not deployed this optional sample hook are not affected and do not need to take action.
To remediate this issue, affected customers should update the QnABot on AWS stack to version 7.4.6 or later and then redeploy the Amazon Q Business Lambda hook sample stack. Updating the QnABot on AWS stack alone does not deliver the fix.

CWE-78 Oct 2, 2026
OS command injection in the Studio Space startup validation script in Amazon SageMaker Distribution when running on Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio
OS command injection in the Studio Space startup validation script in Amazon SageMaker Distribution 2.x before 2.14.12, 3.x before 3.9.12, 4.0.x before 4.0.11, 4.1.x before 4.1.11, 4.2.x before 4.2.8, 4.3.x before 4.3.5, and 4.4.x before 4.4.3, as used by Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, might allow an authenticated remote user with project contributor permissions to execute arbitrary commands in another project member's Studio Space and obtain that member's temporary execution role credentials via a crafted connection resource property that is interpolated into a shell invocation without neutralization.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 2.14.12, 3.9.12, 4.0.11, 4.1.11, 4.2.8, 4.3.5, or 4.4.3, as applicable to the minor line in use. Users on minor lines that have reached end of support must move to a supported minor line, because no patched version will be released for those lines. In Amazon SageMaker Unified Studio, Studio Spaces adopt the latest patch of their minor line on restart once the patched images are deployed, so no version selection is required.

RES Auth.GetUserPrivateKey Arbitrary File Read
AWS Research and Engineering Studio (RES) is an open-source solution that enables researchers and engineers to create and manage secure virtual desktops and computing resources on AWS.
Improper link resolution before file access issue (CWE-59) in the Auth.GetUserPrivateKey API. An authenticated remote user could read arbitrary files on the cluster-manager EC2 instance by replacing their SSH private key file (~/.ssh/id_rsa) with a symbolic link targeting any file on the host. Because the cluster-manager process runs as root, any file readable by root is exposed, including other users' SSH private keys and application configuration secrets.
It's recommended to upgrade to RES version 2026.06.
