CVE-2025-7425 High · 7.8 CWE-416 Jul 10, 2025
Libxslt: libxml2: heap use-after-free in libxslt caused by atype corruption in xmlattrptr
A flaw was found in libxslt where the attribute type, atype, flags are modified in a way that corrupts internal memory management. When XSLT functions, such as the key() process, result in tree fragments, this corruption prevents the proper cleanup of ID attributes. As a result, the system may access freed memory, causing crashes or enabling attackers to trigger heap corruption.
CVE-2025-7424 High · 7.5 CWE-843 Jul 10, 2025
Libxslt: type confusion in xmlnode.psvi between stylesheet and source nodes
A flaw was found in the libxslt library. The same memory field, psvi, is used for both stylesheet and input data, which can lead to type confusion during XML transformations. This vulnerability allows an attacker to crash the application or corrupt memory. In some cases, it may lead to denial of service or unexpected behavior.
CVE-2025-49795 High · 7.5 CWE-825 Jun 16, 2025
Libxml: null pointer dereference leads to denial of service (dos)
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability was found in libxml2 when processing XPath XML expressions. This flaw allows an attacker to craft a malicious XML input to libxml2, leading to a denial of service.
CVE-2024-52533 Critical · 9.8 CWE-120 Nov 11, 2024

gio/gsocks4aproxy.c in GNOME GLib before 2.82.1 has an off-by-one error and resultant buffer overflow because SOCKS4_CONN_MSG_LEN is not sufficient for a trailing '\0' character.
CVE-2023-32665 Medium · 5.5 CWE-502 Sep 14, 2023
Gvariant deserialisation does not match spec for non-normal data
A flaw was found in GLib. GVariant deserialization is vulnerable to an exponential blowup issue where a crafted GVariant can cause excessive processing, leading to denial of service.
CVE-2023-32643 High · 7.8 CWE-787 Sep 14, 2023

A flaw was found in GLib. The GVariant deserialization code is vulnerable to a heap buffer overflow introduced by the fix for CVE-2023-32665. This bug does not affect any released version of GLib, but does affect GLib distributors who followed the guidance of GLib developers to backport the initial fix for CVE-2023-32665.
CVE-2023-32636 High · 7.5 CWE-502 Sep 14, 2023

A flaw was found in glib, where the gvariant deserialization code is vulnerable to a denial of service introduced by additional input validation added to resolve CVE-2023-29499. The offset table validation may be very slow. This bug does not affect any released version of glib but does affect glib distributors who followed the guidance of glib developers to backport the initial fix for CVE-2023-29499.
CVE-2023-32611 Medium · 5.5 CWE-400 Sep 14, 2023
G_variant_byteswap() can take a long time with some non-normal inputs
A flaw was found in GLib. GVariant deserialization is vulnerable to a slowdown issue where a crafted GVariant can cause excessive processing, leading to denial of service.
CVE-2023-29499 High · 7.5 CWE-400 Sep 14, 2023
Gvariant offset table entry size is not checked in is_normal()
A flaw was found in GLib. GVariant deserialization fails to validate that the input conforms to the expected format, leading to denial of service.
CVE-2021-28153 Medium · 5.3 CWE-59 Mar 11, 2021

An issue was discovered in GNOME GLib before 2.66.8. When g_file_replace() is used with G_FILE_CREATE_REPLACE_DESTINATION to replace a path that is a dangling symlink, it incorrectly also creates the target of the symlink as an empty file, which could conceivably have security relevance if the symlink is attacker-controlled. (If the path is a symlink to a file that already exists, then the contents of that file correctly remain unchanged.)
CVE-2021-27219 High · 7.5 CWE-681 Feb 15, 2021
An issue was discovered in GNOME GLib before 2.66.6 and 2.67.x before 2.67.3. The function...
An issue was discovered in GNOME GLib before 2.66.6 and 2.67.x before 2.67.3. The function g_bytes_new has an integer overflow on 64-bit platforms due to an implicit cast from 64 bits to 32 bits. The overflow could potentially lead to memory corruption.
CVE-2021-27218 High · 7.5 CWE-681 Feb 15, 2021
An issue was discovered in GNOME GLib before 2.66.7 and 2.67.x before 2.67.4. If...
An issue was discovered in GNOME GLib before 2.66.7 and 2.67.x before 2.67.4. If g_byte_array_new_take() was called with a buffer of 4GB or more on a 64-bit platform, the length would be truncated modulo 2**32, causing unintended length truncation.
