CVE-2026-102626 High · 7.2 CWE-79 Oct 2, 2026
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.4.0 - Stored XSS through the Date/Time date_min question attribute
An authenticated LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.4.0 user with the global Surveys: create permission can store a JavaScript-breaking value in the date_min attribute of a Date/Time question. When another user renders the affected question, LimeSurvey inserts the stored value into a single-quoted inline JavaScript literal without JavaScript-context encoding.
CVE-2026-97685 High · 7.1 CWE-639 Sep 29, 2026
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.3.0 - Cross-survey object authorization bypass in REST survey patch operations
An authenticated LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.3.0 user allowed to create surveys can use their own survey as an authorized context while supplying question or answer identifiers belonging to another user's survey. The REST survey-patching endpoint checks the attacker's permission against the survey ID in the request URL, but the vulnerable persistence operations resolve the target object independently by its global qid or aid and never verify that it belongs to that authorized survey.

LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.14 - Reflected XSS through unescaped LSS survey-import warnings
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.14 fails to safely encode attacker-controlled content from a crafted .lss survey file when displaying import warnings, resulting in XSS in the administrative interface.
CVE-2026-65931 Medium · 5.1 CWE-862 Aug 27, 2026
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 - Improper authorization in survey menu entry creation endpoint
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 contains an authenticated improper authorization vulnerability in the survey menu entry creation endpoint. An authenticated user with only the global settings:read permission can directly invoke POST /index.php/admin/menuentries/sa/create and create new survey menu entries without the expected settings:update privilege. The endpoint also allows the attacker to submit menu IDs that the normal interface and intended update workflow restrict for non-superadministrators, enabling unauthorized changes to administrative navigation records. This issue affects LimeSurvey: 7.0.5.
CVE-2026-65930 Medium · 4.8 CWE-79 Aug 26, 2026
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 - Stored XSS in replacement-fields

CVE-2026-15973 High · 8.4 CWE-79 Aug 26, 2026
LimeSurvey 7.0.5 - Stored XSS in Survey Menu Entries
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in the Survey Menu Entries administration page. An authenticated user with the global settings:read permission can create a survey menu entry containing attacker-controlled data. The value is stored in the surveymenu_entries.data field and later inserted into a single-quoted HTML title attribute without context-appropriate encoding. This issue affects LimeSurvey: 7.0.5.
CVE-2026-18403 Medium · 6.0 CWE-89 Aug 14, 2026
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 - Authenticated SQL injection in CPDB
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 contains an authenticated SQL injection vulnerability in the Central Participant Database (CPDB) workflow that copies survey participant tokens to the central participant list.
CVE-2026-63361 High · 8.5 CWE-79 Aug 14, 2026
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 - Reflected XSS in HTML editor popup
LimeSurvey Community Edition 7.0.5 contains an authenticated reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the HTML editor popup endpoint. The text and name query parameters are passed through a blacklist sanitizer and then rendered without context-appropriate output encoding.
CVE-2026-63107 High · 7.7 CWE-918 Jul 20, 2026
LimeSurvey SSRF via REST API Survey Template Host Header
LimeSurvey through 6.17.10 and 7.0.4 contains a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the REST API survey template endpoint that allows authenticated users to cause the server to issue arbitrary HTTP requests by supplying a manipulated Host header. Attackers can exploit the unsanitized use of the HTTP Host header in the getTemplateData() function to reach internal network services, cloud metadata endpoints, and extract sensitive credentials such as IAM tokens from instance metadata services.
CVE-2026-50636 High · 8.8 CWE-89 Jun 9, 2026
LimeSurvey RemoteControl invite_participants/remind_participants SQL Injection
The RemoteControl API methods invite_participants and remind_participants pass a caller-supplied token-ID array into TokenDynamic::findUninvited(), which concatenates the values directly into a tid IN ('...') SQL clause without parameterization or input validation. A remote, authenticated attacker holding the tokens/update permission on a survey can inject a crafted array element to perform SQL injection. Because LimeSurvey configures its PDO connection with emulated prepared statements (emulatePrepare = true) and does not disable MySQL multi-statements, the injection supports stacked queries: the attacker can append arbitrary additional statements (INSERT/UPDATE/DELETE/DROP/CREATE) after the original SELECT. This permits both arbitrary read of any data in the database, such as administrator bcrypt password hashes (lime_users), survey response PII, session records, and global settings, all recoverable via a SLEEP() time-based blind oracle, and arbitrary write/destruction of that data, including directly overwriting the administrator password hash for immediate account takeover or dropping/truncating tables. Reads and writes extend to any schema the application's database user can access. The RemoteControl interface (RPCInterface = json/xml) must be enabled, which is not the default.
CVE-2026-50635 High · 8.8 CWE-640 Jun 9, 2026
LimeSurvey Password Reset Host Header Injection Discloses Reset Token
LimeSurvey constructs account password-reset links from the client-supplied HTTP Host header without validating it. The optional allowedHosts allowlist that would constrain this is undefined in the default (and documented) configuration, so LSHttpRequest::checkIsAllowedHost() results in no operation. A remote, unauthenticated attacker who submits a forgotten-password request for a known account (requiring only the target's username and email) with a spoofed Host header causes LimeSurvey to email that account a reset link whose hostname is attacker-controlled while embedding the genuine validation_key. When the recipient or an automated inbound mail-security link scanner dereferences the link, the valid reset token is disclosed to the attacker, who replays it against the legitimate host's newPassword endpoint to set a new password and take over the account.

A Reflected Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) affects LimeSurvey versions prior to 6.15.11+250909, due to the lack of validation of gid parameter in getInstance() function in application/models/QuestionCreate.php. This allows an attacker to craft a malicious URL and compromise the logged in user.

CVE-2025-41076 Medium · 6.5 CWE-209 Nov 20, 2025
Multiple vulnerabilities in Limesurvey
In version 6.13.0 of LimeSurvey, any external user can cause a 500 error in the survey system by sending a malformed session cookie. Instead of displaying a generic error message, the system exposes internal backend information, including the use of the Yii framework, the MySQL/MariaDB database engine, the table name 'lime_sessions', primary keys, and fragments of the content that caused the conflict. This information can simplify the collection of data about the internal architecture of the application by an attacker.
