CVE-2026-103266 High · 7.1 CWE-863 Oct 1, 2026
Ghost 5.2.0 before 6.62.0 Unauthenticated Stripe Checkout Account Modification
Ghost versions 5.2.0 through versions prior to 6.62.0 allow a remote attacker, without authentication, to abuse the Stripe Checkout flow to attach a paid subscription to an existing member, modify that member's name, and inject content into newsletters sent to the member. Depending on the recipient's email client, the injected content may be rendered, resulting in HTML injection or cross-site scripting (XSS).
CVE-2026-70596 Medium · 4.3 CWE-79 Aug 5, 2026
Ghost: Cross-Site Scripting in Feature Image Captions
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 4.9.0 until 6.54.1, an input validation issue allowed any staff user to create a post with content in feature_image_caption that could be used to hijack another staff user's Ghost Admin session, resulting in privilege escalation. This issue is fixed in 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70595 Medium · 4.0 CWE-918 Aug 5, 2026
Ghost: Server-Side Request Forgery Mitigation Issue
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.26.0 until 6.54.1, a validation issue allowed some functionality, such as Webmentions, to be abused by an unauthenticated user to make limited HTTP requests to hosts in the Ghost server's internal network. A successful attack would not result in any response data being returned. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70594 Medium · 6.7 CWE-384 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Session Fixation in Ghost Admin
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 2.2.0 until 6.54.1, Ghost Admin did not invalidate existing sessions on login which could have allowed for session fixation attacks. Successful exploitation would have required another vulnerability on the same domain where Ghost Admin was hosted. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70593 Medium · 6.6 CWE-22 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Theme Upload Path Traversal
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 0.10.0 until 6.54.1, a vulnerability in custom themes allowed a staff user to write files outside of the uploads directory. This could be used to alter the behavior of the installation through custom theme upload path traversal in LocalStorageBase and theme storage name handling. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70592 Medium · 5.5 CWE-22 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Database Backup Path Traversal
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 1.20.1 until 6.54.1, an Administrator-level user could remotely overwrite certain files on the filesystem through the database backup filename, leading to integrity and availability issues. The database export endpoint failed to reject path separators in the caller-supplied filename. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70591 Medium · 4.1 CWE-918 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Server-Side Request Forgery in Image Fetching
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 0.10.0 until 6.54.1, a Server-Side Request Forgery in Ghost Admin image fetching allowed any staff-level user to perform a blind HTTP GET request against internal hosts. No output was returned, but this could have been used to probe open ports on internal hosts. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70590 Medium · 4.8 CWE-200 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Blind Password Hash Disclosure in Ghost Admin API
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. Prior to 6.54.1, any staff-level user was able to leak the hashed passwords of other staff users through the Ghost Admin API. An offline password-guessing attack against the hashes could lead to account takeover if successful, but Device Verification should have prevented an attacker from logging in with a recovered password. Depending on the database used, leaked hashes may not have had the correct casing for all characters, increasing the difficulty of a password-guessing attack. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-70589 Medium · 4.8 CWE-20 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Archived Offers can be Redeemed

CVE-2026-70588 Medium · 5.0 CWE-79 Aug 4, 2026
Ghost: Cross-Site Scripting in Universal Import
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 5.26.0 until 6.54.1, the Universal Import feature in Ghost Admin failed to properly sanitize imported content resulting in XSS in post content. This issue is fixed in version 6.54.1.
CVE-2026-25552 Low · 3.7 CWE-348 Jul 31, 2026
Ghost CLI < 1.30.1 IP Spoofing via X-Forwarded-For Header
Ghost CLI before 1.30.1 contains an IP spoofing vulnerability that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to bypass rate-limiting controls by manipulating the X-Forwarded-For header through a misconfigured Nginx configuration. Attackers can append attacker-controlled values to the header chain using the $proxy_add_x_forwarded_for directive to present an arbitrary IP address, circumventing Ghost's rate-limiting mechanisms on self-hosted instances.
CVE-2026-59817 Medium · 5.3 CWE-472 Jul 9, 2026
Ghost: Paid gift memberships obtainable at minimal cost via the donations feature
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.27.0 before 6.44.0, Ghost's public donation checkout flow allowed an unauthenticated attacker to control donation checkout metadata and obtain full paid gift memberships for a minimal payment without exposing customer or member data or stealing money from a site or its members. This issue is fixed in version 6.44.0.
CVE-2026-53950 High · 7.5 CWE-79 Jun 24, 2026
@tryghost/activitypub: XSS in Ghost's ActivityPub client
@tryghost/activitypub is Ghost’s social/federation client app. Prior to 3.1.0, the ActivityPub client in Ghost was vulnerable to JavaScript injection on posts shared by a maliciously customised ActivityPub server. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.1.0.
CVE-2026-53949 Medium · 5.3 CWE-200 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost Content API filter bypass reveals private fields
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 5.46.1 until 6.21.2, the validation applied to filters on the public API endpoints could be partially bypassed, making it possible to reveal private fields via a brute force attack. If SQLite was used as the database password hashes were fully accessible. If MySQL was used as the database the password hashes' case (uppercase / lowercase) would have been lost, which would likely have rendered a further brute force attack on the discovered hashes fruitless. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.2.
CVE-2026-53948 Medium · 5.4 CWE-434 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost: File Upload Content-Type Spoofing
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.19.4 until 6.21.1, insufficient validation of the client-supplied Content-Type on Ghost's Admin API file upload endpoint allowed uploaded files to be served from the site with an attacker-chosen content type on S3/GCS storage backends. On installations that serve uploaded files from the same origin as the site, this could have been used to facilitate stored cross-site scripting against site visitors or staff. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.
CVE-2026-53947 Medium · 5.3 CWE-204 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost: Member existence leak via magic link sign-in response
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 5.18.0 until 6.21.1, a discrepancy in responses from the members signin endpoints made it possible for an unauthenticated attacker to determine whether a given email address belongs to a registered member of a Ghost site. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.
CVE-2026-53946 Medium · 5.4 CWE-918 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost: Mobiledoc image-size fetch SSRF
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.19.4 until 6.21.1, when re-rendering posts, Ghost would refetch missing image dimensions by issuing an outbound HTTP request to the URL stored on an image card — without restricting that URL to trusted image hosts. An authenticated staff user able to create or edit posts could therefore point an image card at an attacker-chosen host and cause the Ghost server to request it on their behalf, including hosts on internal networks or cloud instance metadata endpoints that would not normally be reachable from the public internet. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.
CVE-2026-53945 Medium · 4.0 CWE-367 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost: Server-side request forgery via DNS rebinding in external request handling
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.0.9 until 6.21.1, Ghost’s private-IP check for outbound HTTP requests could be bypassed via DNS rebinding, allowing an attacker to coerce the Ghost server into reaching hosts on internal networks through features that issue external fetches. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.
CVE-2026-53944 Medium · 5.8 CWE-184 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost: Private IP filtering bypass to make server-side requests to internal services
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From 6.0.9 until 6.21.1, when making an external request, it is possible to bypass the IP filter that ensures the request isn't going to an internal service using an IPv6 literal which maps to a private IPv4 address. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.21.1.
CVE-2026-53943 Critical · 9.6 CWE-524 Jun 24, 2026
Ghost CMS cache poisoning via x-ghost-preview header (CVE-2026-53943)
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From until 6.37.0, when Ghost is behind a shared caching layer that results in cached content being shared between different visitors, an unauthenticated user could send an x-ghost-preview header that altered the rendered frontend response. In affected cache configurations, that response could be stored and served to subsequent visitors requesting the same page, allowing cache poisoning of request-specific preview output. When running Ghost's frontend and admin panel on the same domain this could be used to take over staff user accounts. When running these on different domains staff accounts have no exposure. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.37.0.
CVE-2026-29784 High · 8.8 CWE-352 Mar 7, 2026
Ghost: Incomplete CSRF protections around OTC use
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From version 5.101.6 to 6.19.2, incomplete CSRF protections around /session/verify made it possible to use OTCs in login sessions different from the requesting session. In some scenarios this might have made it easier for phishers to take over a Ghost site. This issue has been patched in version 6.19.3.
CVE-2026-29053 Critical · 9.8 Public exploit CWE-74 Mar 5, 2026
Ghost Vulnerable to Remote Code Execution via Malicious Themes
Ghost is a Node.js content management system. From version 0.7.2 to 6.19.0, specifically crafted malicious themes can execute arbitrary code on the server running Ghost. This issue has been patched in version 6.19.1.
