CVE-2026-42585 High · 7.5 CWE-444 May 13, 2026
Netty: HTTP Request Smuggling due to malformed Transfer-Encoding
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final, Netty incorrectly parses malformed Transfer-Encoding, enabling request smuggling attacks. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final.
CVE-2026-42584 Critical · 9.1 CWE-444 May 13, 2026
Netty: HttpClientCodec response desynchronization
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final, HttpClientCodec pairs each inbound response with an outbound request by queue.poll() once per response, including for 1xx. If the client pipelines GET then HEAD and the server sends 103, then 200 with GET body, then 200 for HEAD, the queue pairs HEAD with the first 200. The HEAD rule then skips reading that message’s body, so the GET entity bytes stay on the stream and the following 200 is parsed from the wrong offset. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final.
CVE-2026-42581 Critical · 9.8 CWE-444 May 13, 2026
Netty: HTTP/1.0 TE+CL Coexistence Bypasses Smuggling Sanitization
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final, HttpObjectDecoder strips a conflicting Content-Length header when a request carries both Transfer-Encoding: chunked and Content-Length, but only for HTTP/1.1 messages. The guard is absent for HTTP/1.0. An attacker that sends an HTTP/1.0 request with both headers causes Netty to decode the body as chunked while leaving Content-Length intact in the forwarded HttpMessage. Any downstream proxy or handler that trusts Content-Length over Transfer-Encoding will disagree on message boundaries, enabling request smuggling. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final.

Gazelle versions through 0.49 for Perl allows HTTP Request Smuggling via Improper Header Precedence
Gazelle versions through 0.49 for Perl allows HTTP Request Smuggling via Improper Header Precedence. Gazelle incorrectly prioritizes "Content-Length" over "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" when both headers are present in an HTTP request. Per RFC 7230 3.3.3, Transfer-Encoding must take precedence. An attacker could exploit this to smuggle malicious HTTP requests via a front-end reverse proxy.

Starlet incorrectly prioritizes "Content-Length" over "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" when both headers are present in an HTTP request. Per RFC 7230 3.3.3, Transfer-Encoding must take precedence. An attacker could exploit this to smuggle malicious HTTP requests via a front-end reverse proxy.
CVE-2026-39805 Medium · 6.3 CWE-444 May 1, 2026
CL.CL HTTP request smuggling via duplicate Content-Length in bandit
Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests vulnerability in mtrudel bandit allows HTTP request smuggling via duplicate Content-Length headers. 'Elixir.Bandit.Headers':get_content_length/1 in lib/bandit/headers.ex uses List.keyfind/3, which returns only the first matching header. When a request contains two Content-Length headers with different values, Bandit silently accepts it, uses the first value to read the body, and dispatches the remaining bytes as a second pipelined request on the same keep-alive connection. RFC 9112 §6.3 requires recipients to treat this as an unrecoverable framing error. When Bandit sits behind a proxy that picks the last Content-Length value and forwards the request rather than rejecting it, an unauthenticated attacker can smuggle requests past edge WAF rules, path-based ACLs, rate limiting, and audit logging. This issue affects bandit: before 1.11.0.
CVE-2026-40560 High · 7.5 CWE-444 Apr 28, 2026
Starman versions before 0.4018 for Perl allows HTTP Request Smuggling via Improper Header Precedence
Starman versions before 0.4018 for Perl allows HTTP Request Smuggling via Improper Header Precedence. Starman incorrectly prioritizes "Content-Length" over "Transfer-Encoding: chunked" when both headers are present in an HTTP request. Per RFC 7230 3.3.3, Transfer-Encoding must take precedence. An attacker could exploit this to smuggle malicious HTTP requests via a front-end reverse proxy.

CVE-2026-2708 Medium · 5.3 CWE-444 Apr 23, 2026
Libsoup: libsoup: http request smuggling via duplicate content-length headers
A request smuggling vulnerability exists in libsoup's HTTP/1 header parsing logic. The soup_message_headers_append_common() function in libsoup/soup-message-headers.c unconditionally appends each header value without validating for duplicate or conflicting Content-Length fields. This allows an attacker to send HTTP requests containing multiple Content-Length headers with differing values.
CVE-2025-31958 High · 8.2 CWE-444 Apr 21, 2026
HCL BigFix Service Management (SM) is susceptible to HTTP Request Smuggling
HCL BigFix Service Management is susceptible to HTTP Request Smuggling.  HTTP request smuggling vulnerabilities arise when websites route HTTP requests through web servers with inconsistent HTTP parsing. HTTP Smuggling exploits inconsistencies in request parsing between front-end and back-end servers, allowing attackers to bypass security controls and perform attacks like cache poisoning or request hijacking.
CVE-2026-2332 Critical · 9.1 CWE-444 Apr 14, 2026
HTTP Request Smuggling via Chunked Extension Quoted-String Parsing
In Eclipse Jetty, the HTTP/1.1 parser is vulnerable to request smuggling when chunk extensions are used, similar to the "funky chunks" techniques outlined here: * https://w4ke.info/2025/06/18/funky-chunks.html * https://w4ke.info/2025/10/29/funky-chunks-2.html Jetty terminates chunk extension parsing at \r\n inside quoted strings instead of treating this as an error. POST / HTTP/1.1 Host: localhost Transfer-Encoding: chunked 1;ext="val X 0 GET /smuggled HTTP/1.1 ... Note how the chunk extension does not close the double quotes, and it is able to inject a smuggled request.

CVE-2026-31842 High · 7.5 CWE-444 Apr 7, 2026
Tinyproxy HTTP request parsing desynchronization via case-sensitive Transfer-Encoding handling
Tinyproxy through 1.11.3 is vulnerable to HTTP request parsing desynchronization due to a case-sensitive comparison of the Transfer-Encoding header in src/reqs.c. The is_chunked_transfer function uses strcmp to compare the header value against "chunked", even though RFC 7230 specifies that transfer-coding names are case-insensitive.

cpp-httplib: HTTP Request Smuggling via Unconsumed GET Request Body
cpp-httplib is a C++11 single-file header-only cross platform HTTP/HTTPS library. Prior to version 0.40.0, cpp-httplib is vulnerable to HTTP Request Smuggling. The server's static file handler serves GET responses without consuming the request body. On HTTP/1.1 keep-alive connections, the unread body bytes remain on the TCP stream and are interpreted as the start of a new HTTP request. An attacker can embed an arbitrary HTTP request inside the body of a GET request, which the server processes as a separate request. This issue has been patched in version 0.40.0.
CVE-2026-33870 High · 7.5 CWE-444 Mar 27, 2026
Netty: HTTP Request Smuggling via Chunked Extension Quoted-String Parsing
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. In versions prior to 4.1.132.Final and 4.2.10.Final, Netty incorrectly parses quoted strings in HTTP/1.1 chunked transfer encoding extension values, enabling request smuggling attacks. Versions 4.1.132.Final and 4.2.10.Final fix the issue.
CVE-2026-28369 Critical · 9.1 CWE-444 Mar 27, 2026
Undertow: undertow: request smuggling via malformed http request headers
A flaw was found in Undertow. When Undertow receives an HTTP request where the first header line starts with one or more spaces, it incorrectly processes the request by stripping these leading spaces. This behavior, which violates HTTP standards, can be exploited by a remote attacker to perform request smuggling. Request smuggling allows an attacker to bypass security mechanisms, access restricted information, or manipulate web caches, potentially leading to unauthorized actions or data exposure.
CVE-2026-28368 Critical · 9.1 CWE-444 Mar 27, 2026
Undertow: undertow: request smuggling via inconsistent header parsing
A flaw was found in Undertow. This vulnerability allows a remote attacker to construct specially crafted requests where header names are parsed differently by Undertow compared to upstream proxies. This discrepancy in header interpretation can be exploited to launch request smuggling attacks, potentially bypassing security controls and accessing unauthorized resources.
CVE-2026-28367 Critical · 9.1 CWE-444 Mar 27, 2026
Undertow: undertow: request smuggling via `\r\r\r` as a header block terminator
A flaw was found in Undertow. A remote attacker can exploit this vulnerability by sending `\r\r\r` as a header block terminator. This can be used for request smuggling with certain proxy servers, such as older versions of Apache Traffic Server and Google Cloud Classic Application Load Balancer, potentially leading to unauthorized access or manipulation of web requests.

CVE-2026-29057 Medium · 6.5 CWE-444 Mar 17, 2026
Next.js: HTTP request smuggling in rewrites
Next.js is a React framework for building full-stack web applications. Starting in version 9.5.0 and prior to versions 15.5.13 and 16.1.7, when Next.js rewrites proxy traffic to an external backend, a crafted `DELETE`/`OPTIONS` request using `Transfer-Encoding: chunked` could trigger request boundary disagreement between the proxy and backend. This could allow request smuggling through rewritten routes. An attacker could smuggle a second request to unintended backend routes (for example, internal/admin endpoints), bypassing assumptions that only the configured rewrite destination/path is reachable. This does not impact applications hosted on providers that handle rewrites at the CDN level, such as Vercel. The vulnerability originated in an upstream library vendored by Next.js. It is fixed in Next.js 15.5.13 and 16.1.7 by updating that dependency’s behavior so `content-length: 0` is added only when both `content-length` and `transfer-encoding` are absent, and `transfer-encoding` is no longer removed in that code path. If upgrading is not immediately possible, block chunked `DELETE`/`OPTIONS` requests on rewritten routes at the edge/proxy, and/or enforce authentication/authorization on backend routes.
CVE-2026-23941 Critical · 9.4 CWE-444 Mar 13, 2026
Request smuggling via first-wins Content-Length parsing in inets httpd
Inconsistent Interpretation of HTTP Requests ('HTTP Request Smuggling') vulnerability in Erlang OTP (inets httpd module) allows HTTP Request Smuggling. This vulnerability is associated with program files lib/inets/src/http_server/httpd_request.erl and program routines httpd_request:parse_headers/7. The server does not reject or normalize duplicate Content-Length headers. The earliest Content-Length in the request is used for body parsing while common reverse proxies (nginx, Apache httpd, Envoy) honor the last Content-Length value. This violates RFC 9112 Section 6.3 and allows front-end/back-end desynchronization, leaving attacker-controlled bytes queued as the start of the next request. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 28.4.1, OTP 27.3.4.9 and OTP 26.2.5.18, corresponding to inets from 5.10 before 9.6.1, 9.3.2.3 and 9.1.0.5.
