@rtk-ai/rtk-rewrite: OpenClaw Rewrite Plugin Command Injection via execSync Template String
@rtk-ai/rtk-rewrite transparently rewrites shell commands executed via OpenClaw's exec tool to their RTK equivalents. In 1.0.0, the @rtk-ai/rtk-rewrite OpenClaw plugin passes attacker-controlled input directly into a shell-backed execSync() template string without shell-safe escaping. JSON.stringify() wraps the value in double quotes and escapes inner double-quotes and backslashes, but leaves $() and backtick shell metacharacters untouched. Because execSync delegates execution to /bin/sh -c, the shell expands $(...) substitutions even inside double-quoted strings, causing the injected subcommand to execute before rtk is invoked. An attacker who can influence the exec tool's command parameter (e.g., via an LLM agent prompt or gateway/tool-call input) achieves arbitrary OS command execution with the privileges of the plugin/gateway process.
CVE-2026-49402 High · 8.1 CWE-78 Jun 23, 2026
Deno: Command Injection via spawnSync & spawn on Windows
Deno is a JavaScript, TypeScript, and WebAssembly runtime. Prior to 2.7.10, Deno's node:child_process implementation provided an escapeShellArg() helper used when callers passed shell: true to spawn / spawnSync / exec and friends. On Windows, the helper failed to quote arguments that contained cmd.exe metacharacters and did not neutralize % (which cmd.exe expands even inside double-quoted strings). An attacker who controlled any portion of an argument passed to such a call could inject arbitrary additional commands into the spawned cmd.exe invocation. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.10.

NetComm NF20MESH < R6B032 Authenticated RCE via OS Command Injection
NetComm NF20MESH routers running firmware R6B031 and earlier contain an authenticated remote code execution vulnerability that allows authenticated attackers to execute arbitrary commands as root by injecting shell metacharacters into the username JSON parameter processed by the dalStorage_addUserAccount function. Attackers can exploit the unsafe concatenation of user-supplied input into a shell command string passed to rut_doSystemAction without sanitization to achieve full root-level command execution on the underlying operating system.

Flowise Custom MCP Server OS Command Injection (CVE-2026-56274)
Flowise before 3.1.2 contains multiple OS command injection vulnerabilities in the Custom MCP Server feature due to incomplete command-flag validation and a regex bypass in local file access restrictions. An attacker with a Flowise account of any role, or API access with view/update permissions for chatflows, can configure a malicious MCP server to bypass the validateCommandFlags blocklist (for example, 'docker build' is not blocked, and 'npx --yes' is not blocked while only '-y' is) and the validateArgsForLocalFileAccess checks, resulting in execution of arbitrary commands on the Flowise host.

Unauthenticated Command Injection via DHCP Option Handling in Multiple TP-Link Routers
A command injection vulnerability has been identified in the DHCP option processing logic in multiple TP-Link router models, due to insufficient validation of externally supplied DHCP option data. An adjacent attacker may exploit this vulnerability by supplying crafted DHCP responses, potentially resulting in unauthorized command execution during device initialization or provisioning workflows. This typically occurs when the device is in a factory-default or unconfigured state. Successful exploitation may allow an adjacent, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands with elevated privileges, potentially leading to full compromise of the affected device and unauthorized administrative control.

gin-vue-admin vulnerable to RCE
gin-vue-admin is an AI-assisted basic development platform. In version 2.9.1, an authenticated attacker with access to the code-generation feature and MCP management interface can exploit this vulnerability by injecting attacker-controlled Go source code through POST /autoCode/addFunc, and then invoking POST /autoCode/mcpStart to trigger a rebuild and restart of the standalone MCP service. This allows arbitrary operating system commands to be executed on the server with the privileges of the application process. Successful exploitation may lead to remote code execution (RCE), modification of backend source code or runtime logic, deployment of persistent backdoors, access to or manipulation of application data and configuration, and further impact on local resources running under the same service account or privilege context. The risk is highest in deployments that retain the source tree, allow writes to source files, and support local build or startup of standalone MCP components. In environments using binary-only releases, read-only filesystems, or with local build capabilities removed, the exploitability of the full attack chain is significantly reduced. However, once the online code-generation capability and MCP-hosted startup workflow are enabled, the overall security impact may reach high to critical severity. As of time of publication, it is unknown if a patched version is available. As a workaround, enforce strict allowlist validation on path- and identifier-related fields such as `humpPackageName`, `packageName`, `FuncName`, and `Router`, and only permit safe identifier formats.

PhpWeasyPrint: shell command injection via configurable WeasyPrint binary path due to inverted is_executable() guard (mirror of KnpLabs/snappy GHSA-vpr4-p6fq-85jc)
PhpWeasyPrint is a PHP library allowing PDF generation from a URL or an HTML page. Prior to version 2.5.1, `pontedilana/php-weasyprint` builds the shell command for WeasyPrint by passing the binary path through `escapeshellarg()` first and then checking the *quoted* result with `is_executable()`. On POSIX `escapeshellarg('/usr/local/bin/weasyprint')` returns `'/usr/local/bin/weasyprint'` with the single-quote characters as part of the string, so `is_executable()` looks for a file whose actual name includes those quotes. That file never exists, the "safe" branch is dead code, and the raw `$binary` string (set via the constructor or `setBinary()`) flows directly into `Symfony\Component\Process\Process::fromShellCommandline()`. Any deployment whose binary path is sourced from configuration, an environment variable, or a per-tenant setting reaches a shell-command-injection sink. The library is documented as a one-to-one substitute for KnpLabs/snappy and inherited the exact pre-fix codepath KnpLabs patched in GHSA-vpr4-p6fq-85jc. PhpWeasyPrint version 2.5.1 contains a patch for the issue.

e107: Command Injection via shell expansion in ImageMagick resize destination path
e107 is a content management system (CMS). Versions 2.3.5 and earlier contain a command injection vulnerability in the ImageMagick resize destination path. In resize_image(), the source path is escaped with escapeshellarg(), but the destination path is inserted inside raw double quotes in the convert command; in the submit-news upload flow, that destination filename includes the first six characters of user-controlled news title input. Because the title filter removes literal spaces but not tab characters, and shell expansions such as $(...) and backticks can survive into the quoted destination argument, /bin/sh -c may evaluate attacker-controlled input. Exploitation is possible only when all of the following non-default settings are enabled: resize_method=ImageMagick, subnews_attach=1, upload_enabled=1, subnews_resize is numeric between 30 and 5000, and the attacker is a non-admin in classes permitted by both subnews_class and upload_class. This issue has been fixed in version 2.3.6.
